Dear Bradley:

 

Welcome! We're a group of individuals as diverse as the World itself, yet, with one special interest and that is, the Astrological component of life.

 

My particular background you can read, actually, I just did an official introduction of myself, today, so it's on there now, too, check out # 757 in the messages section.

 

Your thought to find someone to learn Jyotish from is ideal. Jyotish comes from what's called the Vedic tradition. Though some people think it's Indian, it's really the nature and knowledge of life, itself.

 

Deep within all of us, we have Consciousness. This consciousness is the source of our thoughts, our feelings, and in fact all that we do. Jyotish is called the 'eye' of the Ved, because it represents the 'center', or 'light' of the Ved.

 

Also, all the many other aspects of traditional Vedic Knowledge can be found in Jyotish.

 

Yoga can be looked at as coming from the 5th House, of life.

Ayurved comes from the 6th & 8th Houses.

Jyotish/Compatability comes from the 7th House.

And the list goes on and on.

There are yaguas, transcendental Wisdom, (12th House), pursuit of God, (9th House), dharma, life's work; coming from the 10th House, and Money affairs, 11th, 12th and 2nd Houses.

 

At Nature's Astrology, though we all have different backgrounds, many of us share one common goal and that is to discover and help unfold a true progressive, evolutionary and uplifting Astrology that

 

#1 Brings the best of the Western & Eastern Astrologys, together, to form a new and creative, new Astrology.

 

#2 Do that which helps usher in a true Science of Astrology. Astrology represents what Plato loved to call the First Science, a science which he said was the source of all sciences, which was comprehensive and contained, (like Astrology) all the other disciplines of life. Life is Whole, according to Plato, and that's how I see Astrology.

 

After I had studying Western & especially Jyotish, I had read all the books I could, studied with people, it occured to me I should study these transits.

 

Every moment, the Stars, our Sun, the Planets of our Solar system, are out there, spinning about, radiating their simultaneous effects all around the Universe.

 

Most people would agree that the Universe is at least, Astronomical, or having all these Cosmic elements flying about.

 

However, there's also amazing 'meaning' to these Astronomical happenings. Astrology is the Ancient Knowledge and study of the 'meanings' of these Astronomical events.

 

There is meaning to our live's. Each one of us was born for a purpose. Discovering that purpose, in fact, is the true meaning of our lives.

 

Astrology, really good Astrology helps us study, but even more importantly, come to truely 'know' the particular flavors of the Truths of our life.

 

They're there in our Astrology chart, they're their within ourselves.

 

Astrology exists, out there .... but even more importantly Astrology exists inside, here.

 

Now, as to your request, desire to learn Astrology, especially Jyotish, there are many books that you can start with but what I'd highly recomend is that you have your chart, done, or 'read' by a good, professional Astrologer.

 

I do lots of charts, and have been teaching Jyotish/Astrology classes for many years. Recently, I've started teaching Jyotish classes on the net.

 

For example we have a new course, entitled, " Unfolding your Full Potential, in Life " , starting soon. I'd recomend you take one of my courses, because you'll learn in a month, what might take you a year to learn on your own.

 

But, at your age, you've got some time, hehe.

New to Group

 

 

Greetings All,

 

I am new to Jyotish, but I find it very fascinating, and I've been

studying it for the past month.

 

I have sort of an intuitive grasp of Jyotish, but I need to be able

to learn the 'tools' so to speak, in order to be able to read charts

effectively. In order to do this, I think that I need somebody to

guide me in a chart reading, and step-by-step instruct on what to

look for, etc. If any kind learned member could help me in this, I

would be indebted and grateful.
