Zodiac Signs and Mark's chart

Mark, just a few notes on your chart because I really want to complete

another one or two sign articles (overdue from last week). The trouble with

lists is that I get into the posts, and then there's no energy left for

other writing. So I generally read mail either early in the morning or in

the evening after my writing is done. This being Sunday, and there have

been so many interruptions today that I'm taking time for these notes.

O.K., There's lots of sidereal Leo: Mercury, Venus, Ketu, Sun.

This definitely fits...me.... even far back when a kid, oldest of 6 kids,...

asked to be the leader....'Marrrrkkkkk!....set the example, you're the oldest!'...

hehehe....then,....had my own lawn mowing business....and when became an

adult...have had my own businesses,....all of my life!

remodeling, teaching meditation...and now, Jyotish! yea, eureka!....

The Sun,

representing wholeness, likes to organize and delegate.

I love...to delegate!,...hehee... though this is one of the best parts of me,

self-confident....experience myself as very worthy, child of god....

ray of god's light....

Leo is the sign of

the king. The Sun (Leo) ends up being some kind of center for others.

It's funny, and you're right, I do love careing for others...like a father...

very leoish...paternal....

You

have your own web site and your own discussion list. (Maybe in other area

of your life you've had this center function also.)

\

The great thing I learned from Jyotish, is there is only really one planet that's supposed to be there...and that is the Sun...

Mercury and Venus, even Ketu, have other significations,...that has especially, how to tone down,...some of that leoness....in particular ways....

Ketu is with the Sun,

however, so this will diminish the Sun's ability to do what it wants to do.

The way I experience this...is a kind of 'otherworldly characteristic'....and ever once in awhile,

I'll go through this flavor,...of not careing,...oh, it doesn't really matter, in the big scheme of things...etc...

and part of this is okay, but part...does diminish...or reflect...my Sun's goals, and dreams...to evolve,...to grow,...to accomplish.....

The hoped for response or cooperation from others may not be there. At the

same time, Ketu can give a spiritual outlook toward life, but that doesn't

help Leo to be Leo. (Mercury-Venus conjunction is good for one or more of

the arts--writing included.)

Jupiter is in Pisces opposing the Moon. Pisces is Jupiter's night sign, so

Jupiter will be a bit flowery, airy, out-and-about here.

I love being poetical!

but my Moon in Virgo...does...help me stay grounded!...hehehe....

It's Jupiter's job

to create structure and boundaries (sidereal Sagittarius). However in

Pisces, Jupiter will try to mix everything together, which is what you seem

to be trying to do in combining western and eastern astrology.

This is an interesting reflection. I hadn't thought of this one...

Also, I do think it's my libra, that loves harmony....

and wants to unify.... to bring harmony....to such a diverse.... potentially conflicting realities...

and my Moon in Virgo...for seeing all the details...of discrimination....

heehe

Jupiter is

in Mercury's mansion.

This will further confuse Mercury and Jupiter

functions. I think maybe this will manifest as Jupiter taking lots and lots

of parts (Mercury is all those little parts) and trying to put them together.

My Moon does enough of that.... and I enjoy my Jupiter for bringing me the transcendental,

being reality....

for a long time, I as if, wanted to try and understand reality,...through my thoughts, or intellect,

and that's soooo Moon in Virgo...through the intellect....

but then I realized....that there was a deeper level of knowingness and that was the Moon's truer

nature in Cancer or even Exalted... has shown me...

that direction....

Einstein had Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Venus in sidereal Pisces. He spent

most of his life looking for a unified field theory.

That may be Pisces'....contribution.....looking how everything is part of one whole!

complete.... unbounded...together....

He didn't find it.

What was missing was his knowledge or wisdom of the self...

it's consciousness...that's ultimately the basis of the entire Universe...and it's consciousness

that will ultimately really unite and heal us, and everything....

(His Mercury/Saturn were in Saturn's mansion, which contributed to his

mathematical ability.)

Before eastern and western astrology can be combined, the parts have to be

defined and tested.

I agree, and this is a great starting point...

and that's why I like looking into nature so much and seeing if I can find there,...

Jyotish or astrology...

I remember the very first time, I noticed when the Moon, was colliding with Saturn,...both in the same sign and house, I really 'felt' it...

wow, so this is why Moon and Saturn are described as being 'rough' together...

then, I watched how I immediately felt better the very next day, when the Moon slid into the next sign....

Then I got busy doing something...

and after a few day's I noticed that old, rough, slightly heavy, saturnish feeling came back...

And then when I did a chart for that day, I noticed that the Moon had slipped into the next sign, which was the exact one, Jyotish says...that Saturn also influences 3 houses away.... from where it is...

and I realized...'wow, I experienced that'....

This would be Mercury's function. But your Mercury

function is in a bit of trouble, since the poetic Moon (mind) is in Virgo

(Mercury's sign) comjunct Neptune and opposed by Jupiter in Pisces. That

is, the Mercury function of discrimination--first sorting, testing and

placing in categories--which is the foundation of the organized whole--will

be left wanting.

The biggest challenge I've had with ....Mercury....is starting in Leo, Jyotish says this

tends to reflect some rigidity in thinking... you know my!, leo, way....

but the more I've evolved...especially when I realized...it's not so much what I know...

but how I can help others, discover their own....jyotish/astrology....

and that helped that slight rigidity factor....

Astrology has a long way to go before it can unify anything.

Perhaps, but it's fun, experiencing....nature through the transits....has shown me.... Astrology already, is unified...out there in nature....

and already it's unified, in here, inside of us....

so, I'll help others see that unity....and only god knows, perhaps, how long it'll take...

but what a blast we can have....helping it move....and grow....

P.S. As you might have guessed, my Mercury function is very strong and my

Jupiter function much weaker. I have Mercury rising and several planets at

the top of my chart in sidereal Virgo, nothing in Pisces except Ketu.

I can't remember if you sent me your date of birth info, but please send

and I'll delight at looking at yours, too....

No matter what the books say, planets in the equal house 12th (that is,

rising over the Eastern horizon, 15 degrees on either side of the ascendant

degree in the 12th sign) are very powerful, almost compulsive in

expression. [Note both the current prez and past President Clinton have

12th house Suns.) You have Moon/Neptune in 12, I have Mercury. Uh,

huh....my Virgo Mars (a very precise and exacting Mars)

You noticing this...is great...

because it's the true beginning of change...

when you realize something you might wish to improve...

I love this feature the most about Jyotish....

that there are benefics and malefics...

the benefics are that which are our strengths and don't necessarily have to change...

kind of like already strong muscles....

but then, there are those pesky malefics...which are screaming out for our attentions...

and it's their symbolic negative qualities...that draw us to them...

and begin to help us see, that these are the areas...we were born to change and transform..

and evolve...into ....something else!

is conjunct your

Moon-Neptune. You may feel as if I'm doing a fine job of squashing your

nice cuddly Moon/Neptune opposite Jupiter in Pisces.

I just have to make my Moon,...unbounded...still...and full...

and then,.... everything ...won't effect me so much...

take care

It's been fun....

Hope others are enjoying...

Mark....

ps...next we can reflect on my or anyone's western chart...and why that doesn't seem as precise, or perfect a fit....

but...there are some things in western...that have really helped me better understand my jyotish....

enjoy

Cheers and blessings! Now on to those articles...
