Bettina, that is so very interesting to hear about you and your daughter and

your connection to each other, and obviously she was born to you exactly on

your Uranus opposition.

I am connected to my two with Uranus configured very importantly. In fact the

Uranus theme continues with my grandson born almost four years ago. Natal

Uranus exactly within one degree on my Sun and Diandra's Rahu exactly! In

fact his solar moon this year is her natal Sun. I find all this stuff really

amazing when I start looking at the patterns and love hearing about the

patterns with others.

Aimee and I have Uranus square, and Diandra, born a few weeks before I turned

40 was conceived when Chiron/Uranus exactly opposed my natal Uranus and even

though I too, like you dreamed of her beforehand, including seeing her little

rascal self smiling up at me, she was still a complete surprise; not as much as

yours I bet since you had a tubal. I was a divorced Mom of a 19year old and

happy to be free of raising a child by myself, and I did not have a

relationship with the Dad at all, hence she does not either, which is sad for

her. It all goes to show that karma wins. I dreamed of her for two years

before she was conceived, but still did not believe she was really coming and

certainly not as a single Mom, but...there it is, and she was/is a great joy in

my life, despite the challenge now that she is a very strong and rebellious

teen!

You mention your angles being square each other. Again Bettina, same in my

daughter's charts. One has a Scorpio MC almost exactly to the minute and

degree of my Ascendant and the other has a Scorpio Nadir, three degrees

compared to my 9 degrees but still in aspect. That too is strange I thought

until I read about your mutual aspects with your daughter. I guess you had

your son when you were very young since you ahve a 37 year old, as well as your

daughter at age 40? That sounds like the same as mine too. What is your

birth data, if you don't mind my asking?

This is lots of fun, cheers, Morgana

Hi again, Morgana...

I have 4 children, 2 sons from my first marriage and my 3rd son and daughter by my current one. I was 22 when my first child was born. That seems young now, at least in the USA, but at the time it was about average.

My data: Oct. 5, 1944 / 22:51 / Providence, RI, USA / 41N49, 71W24. It should come out with14 degrees 52 mins (or close) on the asc.

Sounds like our daughters were really eager to be here.

.... Bettina

Hi Bettina, Well it took me long enough to do your chart on the computer; bet

if I was still doing it by hand it would have been faster this time. I ended

up downloading JJyotish last night, as well as JHora, and using both, trying to

come up with 14 Gemini rising was a challenge. I had to do some fancy zone

playing but finally the Moon was where it was supposed to be in degrees and the

ascendant too. I must admit that I cannot make head nor tail of the vedic

house placements yet, so refer to my old Western style, using Vedic degrees.

The one thing that popped out at me is the obvious one of course your

daughter's moon and Uranus right exactly on your equal house 5th at her birth.

Obviously then Uranus on that cusp of your house would have caused that

unexpected surprise for you. Of course Vedic does not use URANUS, another

dilemna. mmm have to think about this because this makes TOO much sense to me

to discard.

Thank you for sharing your birth data and I am going now back to traditional

view in my Janus to really SEE your chart. You are right, these girls of ours

really wanted to come to earth right then, warm wishes, Morgana

Don't discard it. I've had in my hands recently the charts of my close

friend's daughter (her father is Indian) and her Indian fiancé, done in

India by his father: the Indian astrologer has used the outer planets with

the rest of his Vedic calculations.

Hi, Morgana, actually my daughter's Moon/Uranus is on my 6th cusp. She has Ketu, Sun, Moon, Uranus, and Mercury all in Scorpio in her 3rd, falling into my 6th. She's had some health probs which I already described, and raising her has been hard work at times (maybe that's my 6th), but I truly adore her. I know that we go way back.

morganaspirit [morganaspirit]Saturday, April 24, 2004 2:27 AM Subject: RE: Uranus oppostions and birthHi Bettina, Well it took me long enough to do your chart on the computer; bet if I was still doing it by hand it would have been faster this time. I ended up downloading JJyotish last night, as well as JHora, and using both, trying to come up with 14 Gemini rising was a challenge. I had to do some fancy zone playing but finally the Moon was where it was supposed to be in degrees and the ascendant too. I must admit that I cannot make head nor tail of the vedic house placements yet, so refer to my old Western style, using Vedic degrees. The one thing that popped out at me is the obvious one of course your daughter's moon and Uranus right exactly on your equal house 5th at her birth. Obviously then Uranus on that cusp of your house would have caused that unexpected surprise for you. Of course Vedic does not use URANUS, another dilemna. mmm have to think about this because this makes TOO much sense to me to discard. Thank you for sharing your birth data and I am going now back to traditional view in my Janus to really SEE your chart. You are right, these girls of ours really wanted to come to earth right then, warm wishes, MorganaQuoting Bettina <chiria:> Hi again, Morgana...> > > I have 4 children, 2 sons from my first marriage and my 3rd son and> daughter> by my current one. For all its virtues, Vedic doesn't like change. Guess that's why they don't use the transSaturnian planets. I can't imagine under standing a chart w/o them.

Hi Bettina,

The course I'm doing encourages learning to interpret the chart using only

traditional Vedic techniques, at first. Later there will be the inclusion of

some western techniques, including the outer planets. The course was

specifically designed for western astrologers who want to learn jyotish.

I've found it very effective so far. It was probably easier for me to make

the leap as I've never liked distorted houses systems such as Placidus and

have always used equal house (after studying, reading about and

experimenting with all the others).

I think Indian astrologers are resistant to trying new things because they

consider Vedic astrology to have been divinely inspired and transmitted to

the sages. However, there is some evidence to suggest that use of sun sign

characteristics, planetary zodiacal placements etc were grafted on later as

a result of contact with Greek astrologers.

Flick.
