Flick, your post was so interesting!! There certainly is a down side to being receptive. I'm the same way, so receptive that I now can hardly be around people at all. I pick up all their 'stuff.' Everyone talks about methods of protecting the self from outside nfluences, but the only method that seems to work for me is repeating a mantra that a Vedic priest once gave me. But I can't go around repeating that mantra all the time! Somehow I'm not very good at visualizing white light. I'm wondering if this strange feeling in my head right now isn't somehow related to picking something up...I don't know what it would be. Blessings, Therese
Guest guest
Hi Bettina, Flick and Therese, I am also interested in finding a way of shutting myself off from different vibes, and I also have tried meditation. Zen meditation did not work for me because I got severe backaches. Transcendental meditation did not work either, because it totally freaked me out. I used to try some yoga, but it did not help me either. Guest guest
Hi Flick, Thanks for the explanation. I guess I did not have the right teacher who could explain to me what I did wrong.
