Guest guest
In the last few years I've put aside a lot of the metaphysical stuff (since leaving sb) and just make an effort to be out in nature as much as possible; walking in the forest, looking at the gorgeous mountain peaks near here, admiring the cloud formations. I find it very cleansing and probably keeps unwanted energies at bay. Whatever works. .... Guest guest
Bettina, you are right. In my books I tell people to keep everything in balance, develop all parts of the being equally. If you are doing metaphysical work, you must ground yourself properly. And one of the best antidotes to psychic interference is to do something mundane like cleaning or physical exercise - the act of eating itself will ground you and shut your chakras down. However, two things here: for those of us who live in busy urban areas, it's not so easy to get away from constant astral activity; and for myself personally, I've never had to work at receptivity, I've had it all my life, to the extent that when people I know were training to expand their awareness, I was trying to find the means to lessen or control it. Guest guest
Hi, The strangest thing happened to me once when I was having one of my two ever, really bad hyperventilating attacks; not quite the same as psychic stuff, but I felt like I was leaving my body. I heard the words " eat a dill pickle " - at first I was astonished since I am not in the habit of hearing things, and second to eat a dill pickle, barely, because I was in a terrible state or being paralyzed at the same time; however I managed to crawl to the fridge and get out a jar of pickles, something I only buy about once a year and just had, I might add. As soon as I was able to crunch into that pickle, I was able to come back into my body. In case you guys think that is really crazy stuff, I kind of agree.....but it really happened. Tea and coffee are good for grounding, but I've never heard of pickles.
Guest guest
I agree Flick! It was very funny in retrospect, although I was completely terrified until I heard those words and got to the pickles!
