Therese, I can so very much relate to what you're saying here. I too pick up

everything from everyone! but for me not being around people doesn't help.

They can be on the next continent and it still happens to me! Forget the

white light...that's just new age stuff. Anyway, surrounding yourself with

white light probably makes you even more visible...I find it hard to protect

myself too. What did help for me was doing chakra exercises, this seemed to

strengthen my aura - but I'm so lazy that I didn't keep it up. But it seemed

to kind of turn the volume down. I noticed during a total eclipse of the

moon a few years ago that when the moon was blocked, suddenly all the

psychic " radio " signals stopped and I felt truly at peace. It was like

someone turned the receiver right off.

It could very well be. If it is, you'll probably find it stops when you

identify who it is. It often works that way for me anyway.

Blessings,

Flick.

Anyway, Zen can accentuate the sense of interconnecteness.

Yep! you got the great cosmic backache. Let my backache be your backache ;-)

And does backache really exist anyway? All is backache, nothing is backache.

When you reach satori, and sit upon the 100 foot pole, such judgemental

terms as backache will fall away from you ;-) BTW, it's okay to meditate

lying down.

Anne, I hope you realised this was tongue in cheek and that you're replying

in the same vein. Sometimes British humour gets misunderstood.

I used to practise Zen, which I found the most suitable to me of the

Buddhist paths, though I felt an affinity with Tibetan Buddhism too. I was

lucky enough to be able to get into half lotus, which took pressure off my

back.
