Hi Flick and Morgana,

I could also recommend Astrology and Your Past lives: exploring past

reincarnations through saturn's placement in your chart by Jeanne

Avery. It is quite profound too.

note for me that my transiting rahu/ketu are on my asc/desc the end

of June and I must say that I worry more about that transit than the

upcoming square to Mars from Saturn, oh well! Hope you daughter is

doing well and your seven kitties are all happy together. My old

guy would have a fit if any other kitties invaded. It has taken

him almost three years not to hiss at my kitten, now all grown up.

warm wishes, Morgana

Hi Anne and all ...

Thanks for reminding me of the Liz Green book. I haven't looked at it in years but remember it as being very good.

I can speak with some experience about Saturn (in Gem) as it's plunk on my asc. and a forwards sq. (not as harsh as backwards) to my Sun, Mercury, Neptune. Sooo .... I'll tell you a little about myself. As a child I was painfully shy and physically and socially awkwark. I'd say there are 3 words that describe my childhood: lonely, boring, and borderline depressive (that's 4 words, but who's counting). My teens were esp. hard as I got picked on a lot. I was often overlooked, like being the only one not invited to a party, that sort of thing. As an adult life has been much better, though I'd still call myself a bit of a misfit (probably most astrologers are). Lucky for me in my early 20's I became interested in astr. and other metaphysical areas, and acquired a strong belief in reincarnation and karma, so everything began to make sense. At 59 I'm generally happy with my life. Not that it always goes smoothly, but I wouldn't trade places with anyone else.

A couple of other people I've known with Saturn on asc: one of my sons (who's Saturn is in Cancer) who has a marked learning disability and is having a hard time getting off the ground in life, and a young woman (also in Cancer) who's had a hard time managing her type I diabetes which she's had since age 7.

Right now I'm in Saturn's Dasha. It's been mixed. Saturn transits usually bring some kind of barrier or frustration. Right now Saturn is doing it's 2nd return, so of course it's also on my asc. I'm NOT looking forward to Mars being exactly cnj. both natal and transitting Saturn and nat. asc in the 2nd half of May. When it was sq. both nat and tran in Jan. I fell down and hurt my back, which is just now recovering.

Someone talked about Pluto transits being difficult. What I've noticed about Pluto is that it's not so bad UNLESS it's combined with Saturn, and then, watch out. Remember when they were opposed a couple of years back? My daughter had P on natal Moon is Scorpio and S opposed. I had the reverse, S on Moon, P opposed. She was very sick for about a half a year. She was diagnosed with clinical depression, but it went way beyond what most people think of as depression. She couldn't hold down food and for a while and vomited every time she ate (not deliberately), she had constant stomach aches, she had terrible nighmares and even hallucinated (not related to drugs). At the same time she had Neptune trans Mars, Pluto trans natal Uranus (which is cnj nat Moon), Sat. trans. nat Uranus, and Uranus trans. sq nat Sat. That's a once in a lifetime combo. She missed a half year of school and had to finish high shcool in a continuation school. Mine was much the same situation only flip-flopped, and my job was taking care of her throughout, finding medical professionals who could help, and worrying like I've never worried before in my life.

During the same general time frame my husband's 35 yr. old nephew died of heart failure. At the time of his death P was on his Sun and S opposed. He had a P, Sun, and S Tee sq. natally and it set it off. His mother, my sister-in-law, had S on her 5th ruler Jupiter and S opposed. His dad had S on 5th ruler Venus, S opposed. I knew many other people who suffered horribly from that transit.

When P was cnj. my nat Sun in the 70's and S was sextile, I came down with rheumatoid arthritis. The list goes on.

Whew!

You are right Bettina, Saturn is a nasty old codger for you and your family, and yes, affecting your chart along with Pluto is enough to take the wind right out of the sails of whomever is experiencing it. I sure hope you manage to get through the next double whammy okay!. Special prayers for you are in order to get through May and June I would think, cheers, MorganaBettina <chiria wrote:

Thanks, Morgana! I really take transits seriously, but I've noticed that some people undergo what looks like major transits and not much happens.
