One of our cats (the one who decided to adopt me) does the same thing--wants to stand on my keyboard trying to get my attention. She never gets tired of having her ears scratched, and she's always begging for food. Shrimp is her favorite. She rejects canned cat food. I think she's a bit spoiled. Guest guest
I have to add a funny about my cat Freddy. He told me in a dream that he was part Maine Coone and he certainly has the huge body of one, as well as the head and features of an Egyptian Mau, generic version, which he is supposed to be officially. I got him as a kitten from Cat Rescue society and he is definitely generic. Pure black with his ruff and long hairs on belly and tail a kind of chocolate-black; face has very shiny short hair, as well as legs and back. Anyway he is almost three now and the baby. Old cat being ten and the boss of the house. Freddy has never been cuddly with humans but since the full moon meditation I did two weeks ago he is acting like my familiar, if there really is such a thing. I meditated for two hours that night, and fell asleep, waking in a lucid state, holding Freddy in my arms as I re-entered my body through my crown chakra. I saw the words highlit with yellow to click 'here' for a new program beginning. I clicked on the highlit area reading, 'new program' and sure enough it sounded like I was downloading information the way a computer downloads, the whirring, etc. As I came to, Freddy really was in my arms. Now, whenever I meditate he runs for me and lies across my feet purring! Everynight since for these two weeks, he has to touch me when I am about to go to sleep. Literally he snuggles beside me and reaches his paw out to touch me and we fall asleep like that. The other interesting thing that has happened is that he gets angry when I do not go to bed when he thinks I should be there. He comes out to my desk and sits and angrily meouws at me at the top of his lungs. All this in last two weeks. Don't know why I am sharing this in particular, but it is rather amazing, and amusing too. Who knows what tonight will bring, with the eclipse in the morning? eagerly awaiting eclipse, MorganaTherese Hamilton <eastwest wrote: At 08:02 AM 4/18/04 +0100, Flick wrote:>LOL, I hope you made sense of that garble. Guest guest
Cats are very sensitive to the energy we bring in during meditation. One of my cats also would lie on top of my feet while I meditated when he was a kitten (but, alas, not any more). I even had a rat once who whould sit on my shoulder while I would meditate. I hear a collective "Ugh!" but she was very sweet and very intellegent. One of our cats came to me in a dream a week or so before we got him at the pound! Same markings, same everything as the dream cat. .... When my husband went back to college to do a post-grad psychology course, the students were offered the rats from the psychology lab at the end of every year: we had two and they lived with us for the rest of their lives. They are clean, gentle and intelligent and make wonderful pets. Human beings are the real vermin on this planet, causing more pollution and destruction than any other species is capable of. Guest guest
hear, hear, I agree.... as someone who is also very much into shamanic work and having power animals assist in the healing process, I have come to realize that animals love us and want to help us any way they can and only wait to be asked, warm wishes, MorganaFlick <rubysun wrote: On 19/4/04 3:35 am, "Bettina" <chiria wrote:> I even had a rat once who whould sit on my shoulder while I would meditate.
