Dear Morgana:

 

We're so happy to have you. And welcome! Our main perspective, in this group, is to research what I like to call 'nature's astrology'.... This comes from my experience of over 16 years now, watching each day's transits of the Stars...

 

It's occured to me over this time, that Nature, lives Astrology...and it's extremely...different then the interpretations, generally of both....Western & Eastern...

 

Though, don't get me wrong....I applaud both systems for all their great contributions... but when you watch 'Nature', you can't help become aware of the great...beauty, especially silence, that pervades,...even the most nasty... malefic, transiting moments...

 

and how profound and beautiful, nature is...

 

When Astrology is begun to be looked at from this wonderful direction,...then the real... healing and transformative ...power of Astrology becomes more clear...

 

In this group we'll talk about Western and Eastern...because both have some powerful strengths...to contribute...

 

We'll also talk about how... we might all, help in moving the cause forward, to help create a truely new, and modern, 'Science of Astrology'...

 

The potential is there, for it. It needs to be done. And Nature is the key.

 

For over 300 years now, 'man', human kind, 'women', too!, have begun studing life, through watching and measuring, and examing Nature...

 

Nature's become the great 'medium', in which truth can be studied, and found...

 

The problem in Astrology, is that it hasn't stayed abreast of this change. And where old views or Philosphys of life, like the view, that the World was flat!, or the Earth was the center of the Universe... these ideas...fell away....as scientific investigation...found them to be inaccurate!

 

Like that we need to create a modern Science of Astrology... and we'll find some of our old views, might be slipping away... but that's okay....

 

we should all be striving to bring ... Astrology, back into the lime-light, because it truely is the #1, first Science....

 

The emergence of a true science of Astrology, will also help the fledging Mental sciences, like Psychology, which have not been able to keep up, with the pace, of the Physical sciences, like Physics, and Astronomy....

 

Anyway, I'm sorry for the length of my response.

 

I just thought this might be a good time, to review some of my reasonings, behind starting this group, especially since so many new people have joined this last week!

Hi Mark and Group, I just wanted to add here that I am going back over the posts and you have a very good format for the beginning here, ie, going over the life and writing out your qualities, etc. It is a big project and will take me awhile, meanwhile I am busy reading the posts here going backward.

I do know that we subtract 23° for each planet, and for our chart

angles. It is hard to feel like a Capricorn. How does the vedic

system integrate the two, or do you not at all?

As you can see I am a beginner with this sytem but eager to learn
