Thursday, 4/8th....9am...

Moon Moves to the Beginning of Scorpio, today....

Transits

Dear Friends:

First the Short Version of today!

Today, the Moon move's to the 8th degree of Scorpio, at about 9am, CST..... Adjust for other time zones.

Today, the Moon begin's it's monthly Tranist of the Sign of Scorpio. There are plusses & minuses, of this 2 1/2 day Transit.

The good news is that Scorpio, represents our Convictions. Our beliefs, and ideals, come from our 'Scorpioness', and as such, when the Moon or any planet, transtis Scorpio, don't be surprised if you find yourself... thinking about those convictions...

The bad news, is that the Moon isn't particularly happy in Scorpio. This is because the Moon represents the soft, gentle, careing, and good natured, emotional part of us, and Scorpio energy is sooo Marish....that the Moon picks up, too much of that angry, and fiery nature.

Hence, this is why Jyotish believes, that the Moon isn't happy there..

So, these 2 1/2 days represent 'collectively', the karma, of what it's like when we get too cranky, get too pushy with our beliefs, and convictions.

The karms, of certain people and circumstances... being 'too', wrapped up, in 'my way', and 'my, right, beliefs',...is part of the karma of these days...

The Positive perspective, is to take advantage of this time, to think about your Convicitons...

while not, getting sucked into the 'I told you', 'I'm write and your're wrong',.... arena....

Don't be angry or mad, or ticked off, because people, or circumstances don't measure up to your standards and beliefs.

That in essence captures the spirit of these next few days...

Use it for positive....Scorpio, contemplations.

Scorpio's postive side, is that it cares. It cares, and believes in principles and convictions.

Without Scorpio, there wouldn't be any careing...for what is 'right'.

Now, the more Long, Philosophical Version...of:

What is Right!

Figuring out what is right, however, is more complicated than people realize.

You can see this battle of wills, and 'rights' throughout the World.

Many people's and groups believe their views and beliefs are right.

There's no resoltion going on, so they fight!

However Jyotish has a wonderful ideal way of expressing what is truely right !

Nature, herself, seems to live 2 simultanous qualities.

#1, Nature or God, seems to have given us the 'right' or the freedom to do whatever we want.

You can see there. Millions, in fact, billions of people out there, are all pursuing whatever they want.

Unfortunately, much strife, confusion, animosity is being lived, because we're not taught how to learn to understand and especially,....do what's 'right'.

According to Life, or Jyotish, 'right' action is very simple.

What is 'right' in life, is that which is evolutionary for oneself and all others.

What is 'right' is that which furthers the pace of evolution in life, and that which is 'un-right' is that which obstructs or retards evolution.

What is 'right' in Jyotish, are those Planetary situations and configurations that are either, Planets in their Own Signs, or Friendly Signs or Exalted.

The ultimate, 'judge' of 'rightness', is then, happiness.

Each Planet has a definition of 'rightness' and 'happiness', and when we're experiencing the positive, or benefic side of each planet, than it's safe to say....'we're right-on' with that planet!

pardon the pun! hehehe

In Life....

God, or Nature....allows us, or gives us the freedom to do whatever we want...

Nature however, has 1 Rule: We can do whatever we want....however....we're going to be held responsible for the consequences of our actions...!

We can do whatever we want, tell little white lies, big whoppers, be bossy, rude, unhappy, sad, go too fast, eat the wrong kinds of foods, on and on.... however....

karmically speaking, we're going to experience directly the consequences of those actions...

Our Astrological charts, are wonderful expressions of this Reality....

The Strengths, and Benefics, in our Charts, express those parts of us, we've gotten 'right'....

Jyotish says, certain Planetary situations and configurations are more 'right' than others, because they're more positive. This means when we think or act in these more 'benefic' ways, our life, and evolution will be more smooth, natural, and successful!

The Malefics, in Jyotish and in our Charts, represent....what areas or parts of us, have gotten out of sync with nature, are mis-taken, negative and literally causing us, our problems, in life!

This Jyotish Principle is at the very heart of Jyotish!

Learning the 'Truths' of this Prinicple, is at the very basis of Jyotish!

When we learn that Jyotish's convictions, opinions, and principles are true; that they're real and work in Nature and in our lives... then we're inspired to gain the Wisdom that's contained here...

Scorpio, teaches us about Convictions...

Moon in Scorpio teaches us about how, not, to get too pushy, self-righteous, and opinionated!

" Hi Mark, Yesterday, you were talking about how the 3 parts of Jyotish go on simultaneously. There's our Charts, our Dasas and the Transits. But, that these three areas can be experienced differently by different people. My question is: How or what determines this differenece? Can we easily figure out what's different in our different charts, that's responsible for this? "

" Dear Susie: This is a very good question. #1, each one of us is living these 3 areas. Our Charts, represent our Psychology & Phsyiology. What's going on within our minds, hearts and bodies, is captured by the details of our Charts. The karmas, or consequences of the choices and actions, mental and phsical patterns that are there within us, and our charts; then, gets expressed at different times. Jyotish has this ability to 'see', based on the exact moment of our births, which 'karmas' or parts of our charts, will be manifesting at what times...

This is crucial, because it means we can see the dangers on the horizon, coming up. At different times, the specific lessons in our charts, will be manifesting in the exact manners of our Dasas. There are 3 major areas of our Dasas, the Mahadasas, the Antardasas, and the smaller, Bhukti one's. These Dasas are related to the different Planets in our Charts. For example, there are Sun dasas, Moon one's, even Mars & Saturn dasas. What this means is that the good, positive or negative nature of the Planets in the beginning of our Charts, will express the relative, positive or negative happenings in our future!

So, if we've got a positive Sun and a malefic or challenged Moon and a malefic Saturn... Then, what will be the nature of a future Sun, Moon and Saturn period? It'll be mixed. There'll be good self-confidence, but there will be emotional challenges, and especially challenges of a Saturnian nature. Knowing what our Charts are about, allows us to better understand what our Dasas periods will be like. Knowing which of our dasas, are 'negative' or malefic, in nature, will help us, know which periods are more perfect to heal, to rejuvenate, and transform...our malefic planets into strengths. Otherwise, if we try to achieve, in a period which is more accurately a healing period, then we may fail, because we're not being in tune with our Astrological script!

We can either flow with Nature or against it. The choice is ours!

However, we might consider that Nature is really here, created by the divine Intelligence....to allow us the most speedy, effortless, natural path, to evolve....

Now, how can we tell which of the 3 areas of Jyotish are more prevalent for each one of us?

The best way I've found is to look at your past....

In the past, we're supposed to have been living our Jyotish.

If you look at the dasas, the transits, and reflect on your chart, for any period in the past,

you'll be able to tell, which parts were more dominant.

Then, when you realize this, you'll be able to know how to proceed for the future.

When I do people's charts, I help them undertand exactly how to look at these 3 most important areas of our Jyotish.

I'll give you an example.

I have Mars in Cancer in my 10th house. And it's been responsible for me having the tendency to have Mars accidents at work, ie. the 10th house. For a long time, I thought that the dasas and Transits, were the most important for me to watch, related to having accidents. However, one time, right after I had my 3rd major potentially, life threatening accident, I fell 30 feet off a house I was working on.

This was about 12 years ago, but I was still very confused because I thought I knew enough Jyotish, (haveing studied then, about 4 years) and watching the Tranists and Dasas I was convinced that I'd be okay.

But, when I found myself in my hospital bed, as I contemplated this confusion, it occured to me....'Oh, my God, it's in my Chart, to go too fast!'.... I'ts not just in the dasas and transits, that I can have accidents....I can have accidents any time! Wow,....I'd better realize I'm supposed to slow down...all the times!

Now, that's how good we can get at understanding our Charts.

Charts, Dasas, and Transits.... We'll talk more about them.
