Dear Anne:

 

Jyotish kind of misses the boat about the 'Signs'. You wont' see quite so

many descriptions of any of the Planets, in the different Signs. It's kind

of an aspect of Western Astrology, ie. Astrological Psychology, which I find

very significant.

 

This is one of the things that you might find, Western can help Jyotish

with.

 

It's there, in Jyotish, that the different Planets including the Moon, do

reflect different qualities in the different signs...

 

However....

I'd almost forgotten how different the two systems are in this regards.

 

I've gotten so used, to studying and seeing in real individuals, how they

live, the different Astrological qualities of their Planets in different

Signs.

 

This fact, alone has convinced me that Western is more insightful this way.

 

I think when I got through all the books that were available, and I started

studying 2 things.... people's charts and the Transits,....then, Astrology

really came alive to me,... and the 'real' Astrology....'out there'...

became more apparent.

 

Life, itself,...the stars, the weather, people,... they all exist...

somewhere...in-between West & East....

or maybe, it's there...over lording... the two...heheh
