Guest guest
Dear Mark, could you please speak about Moon compatibilities, in Jyotish, briefly, for romantic relationships ? Should we consider the Nakshatras, the elements, or/and the aspects or... anything else ? Thank you, Annick -------Message original------- De : Date : 04/06/04 21:02:02 A : Sujet : 2-Flick...4/6....Re: Moon & Other Simultaneous AstrologicalForces....! Flick:See below:Hi Mark,>>> Rahu's in Aries, influencing Leo, due to it's 5th House aspect, and Mars in>>> in Taurus, influencing Leo, from it's 4th House aspect.>> >> Well, this is the trigger for me as Rahu and Mars have been affecting my>> Aries Moon in my 10th house.> > It is a great first step, to recognize where the transits are affecting us!> good...Are you referring to Vedic or western transits? Obviously, as I've been awestern astrologer for 30 years (professional for much of that) I'm wellacquainted with the way the transits affect both my chart and those ofclients. However, I'm currently learning the implications of the way theplanets affect us through the medium of Vedic astrology, and of course thisis the same but different. One of the valuable things I've learned isturning the chart to observe transits by taking the moon or sun as the firsthouse, or doing so for a particular planet to see how its affairs areaffected. These are techniques we could apply to western astrology, butoften we don't.Generally, Jyotish says we should look at the Transits from the Moon chart, however, I've found the Rasi, Chart, or Rising Sign, lst house, works better. It's like I experience my body, as my first house, and I notice, that the Transits, moving through the different houses, seems to fit the Rasi chart better. For example, I have a Libra Rising, (Jyotish) therefore, my Taurus is in my 8th house, and each month for all these years now, I've done a chart of each day, and watched how itaffected me;....what I noticed fairly quickly was whenever the Moon went in Taurus, where it's supposed to be Exalted...I felt okay,...but not 'exalted' as I thought I should. And then, I noticed that when the Moon would go into Gemini, which is a much less 'strong' sign, because it was transiting my 9th House, it felt very good...and then, into Cancer, then, it felt great....as I felt, it moving through my 10th House...>> I have my Rahu in the 5th...and in aquarius, which is supposed to be a good> sign,> and in my rahu period, I learned to meditate...and do...many, many spiritual> things...Well, Rahu was very spiritual for me too. I've lived with spiritual andpsychic inclinations most of my life, but during Rahu I experienced a 180degree turning in the seat of consciousness. I too learned to meditate (orat least to do so through a specific channel), practising Buddhistmeditation for several years. I also came into witchcraft during that time.I can't remember if you sent me your date of birth info. It would be fun to look at eachother's charts while we talk back and forth...mine is sept. 4, 1951 11:17am Kansas City, MO, Libra Rising .....22 degrees....> >> The end of Rahu dasa brought success for me: my first book was deliberately>> timed to arrive at a publisher on the August 1999 solar eclipse, and it>> started my career as a writer.> > Cool, ...well, rahu can be a very successful..planet especially for outer> achievements...> but...because rahu's also there to teach us...> about balance...> see, most people, may get what they want during rahu periods, but at the end> of rahu, there is this powerful tendencey to loose, what you have gained...In my case I simply let go of it and moved on. I decided I didn't want towrite any more pagan books, and also that I wanted to return to a much lessstructured form of spirituality. Guru dasha is wonderful!Guru is much more wonderful....and I did so much of my teaching in Jupiter dasa..... then, when I went into my sani mahadasa, such a huge shift..unbelievable...It took me almost 5 years to finally psyche out how better to adjust...cuz...sani's...sooooo different from jupiter...now, that I understand that Sani, is inward, where jupiter is outward...I'm fareinyg much better...> >> >> I'm not experiencing Rahu on my moon with the fear Vedic astrology tells us>> should be the case with Rahu/Sun or Rahu/Moon,> > We shouldn't project...the Astrological ideas...on to our...experiences...Well, obviously not, otherwise I'd be talking myself into fearing Rahu, andI don't ;-) By the same token I actually love Saturn.Cool, me too, though it took me a long time...I have Jupiter in Pisces in my 6th and sani, in the 12th...so I was literally lost to sani's benefic qualites...till I had been meditating for along time, and then, when I learned sani, through Jyotish, he started...to be morepositive...for me....> > that's why I like the transits, so much...they show us ...what our real> experiences are! > but rather am sometimes>> restless in the sense of anticipating change that keeps promising to arrive>> but hasn't yet. > >>> It just fascinates me the way that western and eastern astrology view such>> things as the nodes differently (I devoted a whole chapter to eclipses and>> the nodes in my book Praise to the Moon). I'm also fascinated by the way we>> can be like both our western and Vedic charts.> > Part of the problem is we're really Cosmic beings...and have literally all> values within...I totally agree with that!>> I'm sure many will benefit from your experiences...tooWell this is why I've been so explicit about certain parts of my chart...totry to stimulate discussion so we may all learn, and in the hopes thatothers will be encouraged to share as well.> > \take care....thanks for sharing...Mark> ciao> > Mark
