Guest guest
Dear Friends: Here's an interesting email regarding the transits, and some of the relationships between Western & Eastern Astrologys... enjoy Mark Dear Flick: Very nice hearing from you and your experience, too. When I got through about 2 years of studying Jyotish, and succeeded in cramping every little bit of jyotish ideas in my head,....it occured to me, I needed a break... So, I started studying the transits, but not really studying, just innocently watching... And I discovered such a wealth of true Astrological knowledge that I never found in any books! That's why I love these transits so much, and hope to help others learn to experience Astrology... Today, I'm creating what I call 'natures astrology' which is really an expression of what nature is doing, Astrologically.... And coincidently it's interesting to me, that 'this' approach to Astrology, seems to imbibe both Western & Eastern ideas... I like for example, Eastern's greater clarity, and connection to consciousness. Though that's not so obvious in some ancient Jyotish texts, authors or Astrologers. I also like the greater emphasis on the Moon, in Jyotish. However, I also like the West's continual focus on the Sun....because I still believe, though it is abstract and very inward, inside of us, our egos, no less.... still I believe the Sun's extremely important... I also believe in the Western's emphasis on Astrological Psychology... I do a lot of that in my and yet I combine that with the Consciounsess approach in addition to the other aspects of Jyotish which I also appreciate like the great Dasas systems. Always nice hearing from you, take care. Just as the cobblers children never have shoes, so I, as an astrologer, am the last to look at transits for myself or my family, and if I do it's currently with western software (I'm still waiting for the Mac version of Parashara's Light), so it's a gift to have your reports. I relate very much to what you say here (I spent the morning being shown round the ancient buildings and rare old books of one of the Oxford colleges...a real trip back in time in keeping with the Moon, Cancer etc) and felt calm and happy and as if something had begun to unblock for me: >Did you notice a nice shift in inner feeling, yesterday? > > Today, should be more of the same...
