Here is an interesting 'introductory' kind of discussion re. male and female values, from a Jyotish perspective..

 

 

 

 

Dear All:

 

I love these discussions about Mars & Venus. That book, in part, inspired me to write a Jyotish book which I'm also done with. The problem with this slightly one-sided explanation as to masculine and feminine natures is that it's way too general.

 

And it's a debate that is at the heart of how we look at ourselves as human beings.

 

One of the challenges of just this one simplistic idea is we all know individuals, males or females, though they might be from Mars & Venus....certainly have 'visited'....the other Planet!

 

There are males who are more less Marish.....then certain women and vice versa.

 

But, when you get into the specifics of any one person's Jyotish chart, you can see exactly why they're the way they are.

 

As it turns out each person has a Mars and Venus inside of them. In this respect, Mars and Venus are true significators for Masuline and Female 'natures'. Any individual, male or female, who has a strong, Venus in their charts, exhibits a very striking loving side.

 

Conversely, you'll see in certain females who have good or strong Mars' that they funnily enough have even more masculine qualities then some men.

 

Most of my research has been of the more hetrosexual variety. Someday, I'll make a study of the homosexual and we might even find out why this distinction exists.

 

My 'feeling' is that all the planets together might express a then again, more masculine or feminine situation. The Moon, Mercury & Jupiter are the other female planets, or at least have a feminie side to them. Whereas Mars & Saturn, and especially Sun have a decidedly masculine flavor.

 

It would be interesting to do research for example on Physiological compounds like testerone and estrigin. Jyotish has an amazing ability to understand many aspects of Physiology as well as Psychology.

Thats why we attribute

 

mars to men. mars = valour

venus to women. venus = material comforts
