Dear Friends:

 

Another discussion about the relationship between individuality and universality.

 

I especially like this discussion, in terms of Astrology, because it has been my experience that becoming more aware of the nature of the Planets...seems to have the experience of literally stimulating more of my Cosmic... or universal nature...

 

I think, now, that life is basically Astrological...and as we pay attention to our own Astrological natures, we're literally taking a step into our greater, Cosmic, Astrological....reality!

Loved your story about your bother...

 

 

I've had an interesting experience, now coming on for about 14 years...

 

Over this time, I've had a number of individuals dieing around me, a little unborn child, passing away, my father, and a number of close friends...

 

And with each one, I found myself becoming more and more aware of their 'presence' from over the other side. These perceptions were definite perceptions as to their individual nature, which I don't think, really are very uncommon as I know many other people who have had similar experiences....

 

These are all good examples of the possibility that individuality continues...

 

I also like to make reference to that wonderful chapter in Yogananda's book on the Revelations of Shri Yukteswar. In there, his Guru, talks about the nature of existence in these 3 primary levels of physical, astral and casal realities....

 

I especially likes the depictions of what souls are like as they get to the casal levels where their oneness with God... is expanding and they get involved in the process of creation, creating universes...co-creating with God...

 

And I really had a sense here, that the 'individual' soul is starting to merge, more with that un-individual, or super-individual state of God's...Consciousness.

 

Fun to think about....

When my brother John Wills was in India on the very first course

Maharishi took them to the shrine in honour of Gurudev and John

didn't want to prostrate so Maharishi kindly told him just to touch

the ground with his hand and then touch his forehead.

 

When it was all over Maharish was very excited and asked John, " Did

you see him? "

 

The implication clearly was that Maharishi had. This would appear to

give a confirmation of something persisting after death.
