Dear Friends:

Here's a wonderful discussion about individuality and Cosmic... brahman self awareness....

I believe that Jyotish, and the entire wisdom of Consciousness astrology helps us reach higher levels of Being...

Sincerely,

Mark K.

Dear Thom:

I would agree with much that you say, but I think there's much strong evidence that

indicates that some powerfully clear 'individuality' continues, whether in this body, or

the Astral body all, till we achieve final Brahman.

There is a particular chapter in Yogananda's Autobiography book where his Master comes back to him after having passed away and he describes what life is like after death, and the fact that he had incarnated on a very 'high' Astral world and the discussion about physical, astral and even casal worlds of existence...is quite illuminating...

There's another book that I've read in the last couple of years, called Journey of Souls which is a fascinating account of a Hypnotist in Colorado who regularly regressed his patients back into the early stages of this life, trying to help them resolve some conflict there which seemed to be messing up their present.

Well, accidently, he found not only did they go into their early life, they would also slip into past lives...and even more profoundly the 'space' where souls, individuals are supposed to go 'between lives'. I found this utterly fascinating and it seemed to have this amazing effect of stirring up some very deep, cosmic memories.

His descriptions of how you meet people 'over there', when you're not in your earthly body anymore, but you can just 'tell' that someone 'else' is a soul that you've known for many life times. And he talks about how we plan out and work on our earthly incarnations.

Personally, I've had enough 'brahman' type experiences now, where my quote, 'entire' individuality, 'mark' nature is so transcended that only ...the purest kind of Self...nature remains.

But, there's a thread of continuity there... My last great experience had me experiencing myself as the Self..of say...a huge part of the milky way...galaxy...and many solar Suns, solar systems including the Earth, existed or resided within me...and I was both that 'totality',...but when I put attention on it...I could trace my background, my previous link to that which I knew had been that 'mark' character... but now, I knew that I was that great, 'that', Self... and my previous 'I', mark, individuality was like a leaf on a tree, in a small forest, in a small state, in a small country, and even world...

And I also knew that everyone else...who were like the other leaves.... were also that Self...

but there was not this sense of loss of 'individuality' like I had thought previously when I contemplated enlightenment or Brahman.... there was just this wonderful...big 'I'...which included all the previous little 'I's...

Experience.... alone seems to really clear up the whole thing...

And discussions for me, now, are just fascinating .... ideas...but I now, know 'reality' is much more grand...then our intellects can imagine!

Jai Guru!

[FairfieldLife] Beliefs

great question & answer.

This idea of mapping is a revelation to me, and i hope will be

useful; even just the concept has already helped in a vague way,

regarding all sorts of solid beliefs that I appreciate but don't

hold, stuff that i can't seem to believe. And it's good i think to

relate to such beliefs - " mapping " might enable that - without being

patronizing. (I can't help being sort of irritated by the patronizing

superiority of various shades of non-believers, e.g. calling the

beliefs " comforting " for the poor dears)....Thanks. Excellent.
