Here's a fascinating dialogue regarding...how the Planets in Jyotish really fit us!

Dear Souvik:

 

I wanted to also respond to your question: (see below)

 

You have to remember that the Planets represent every and any aspect of human nature. So, the Sun represents our very Selves, Moon, our emotional nature, Mars, our active abilities, Mercury, intellect...

 

Then, the exact configurations of those Planets in our charts represents the begining status or 'maturity' of that quality.

 

For example if the Sun's Exalted in Aries, this represents a very highly developed self-confident person. If the Moon's very big, towards Full, and/or in it's Own sign, or Exalted, it represents someone who was born with a very highly developed 'emotional nature or intelligence'.

 

But, and here's the really important thing, this Jyotish configuration does not represent our fate alone, in fact a famous Vedic Scholar recently said: " Don't take your charts as written in stone, they just represent the state of your physiology at the time of birth. "

 

I find this very exciting and important, especially in light of this Jyotish - Remedies, group, because the idea is then, that we can and are in fact born for the very purpose of strengthening and improving, even evolving the Planets in our charts, which are really just symbolic of our human nature, physiology, mind and bodies!

 

I'm presently writing a book on Jyotish and the book called, 'The Stars Within',...has two basick components. #1, there's the idea that there exists a very fundamental link between our charts and our lives; I call it the 1 to 1 Correspondence!

 

This means that there is this very intimate correspondence between all the different aspects of our lives, and all the details of our charts...

 

In otherwords, our charts fit us!

 

Then, #2, there is this more relatively new, and creative idea, that we can literally change and improve ourselves through learning how, ...ie through remedial measures,.... how...to improve the functioning of our planets...

through strengthening, neutralizing or transforming their very nature!
