Dear Pooja,

 

[ 1 ] You can ask the mali at the nursery to give you a small piece of

the Ashok tree root. In case you have to buy the whole plant, then cut

off the roots, wash them and keep them at the pooja sthan. Throw away

the rest of the plant.

The root has to be kept as such. It doesn't have to be wrapped in any

thing. Of course it will dry up. Let it be there in the pooja sthan

even if it dries out.

 

[ B ] apply the sindoor on all the four sides. It doesn't matter

whether it is applied on the corners or the center of the sides. Yes

apply it on the frame. It doesn't make a difference whether it is

visible or not.
