Guest guest
Dear Sir,Just a quick query - as per your analysis, you said "So Saturn is energizer for life. Saturn also owns VI and it occupies V. These are 12th and 11th to spouse. Those are not maraka or badhaka houses for him. So Mars does not signify any danger through its constellation lord. " - But as per my knowledge, 12th houses counted from 1st (i.e. 12th), 3rd (i.e. 2nd) and 8th (i.e. 7th) are maraka houses. Guest guest
Dear Sir, I think I couldn't convey my doubt in my previous mail. What I tried to asked was as 6th house counted from my lagna happens to be 12th to my wife's lagna (i.e. 6th is 12th counted from 7th house), which should be considered as the maraka house for my wife - isn't it? Hope my question is clear now. Here as Saturn is the owner of 6th - it should be considered as a maraka to the wife. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Guest guest
Dear Sir, You say VI is 12th to VII. Since it is 12th to VII (wife), it is maraka to your wife. I say "NO". Actually it is not "I" (me) but it is the science. The 2nd and 7th houses are considered as maraka sthanas. The 11th for ascendant that falls in movable signs, the 9th for Ascendants falling in fixed signs and the 7th for Ascendants falling in common signs; are considered as badaka sthanas. 12th is not considered as a maraka or badaka sthana. 12th is for seperation,.monitary or material loss, trouble, opposition etc. With regards. Guest guest
Dear Antariksha 6th house is not maraka or bhadhaka. If 6th house lord or planets signifies maraka or bhadhaka then only it will maraka or bhadhaka. Moreover maraka or bhadhaka will not give always bad result if they signifies 3rd/5th/9th in any manner. Guest guest
- Respected sir I do agree with you and I also saw mostly 2 and 7 work as marak. But plz throw some lights on my following doubt. As we all know 12 th house of any house is the negation or vyaya sthana for that house ,house 2 and 7 are since 12 to 3rd and 8th hence it comes as marak ..But main house which plays lead role to determine longevity is lagna 3rd and 8th are supporting one .why 12th to lagna should not come as lead marak INSTEAD OF 2 nd and 7th ??? Guest guest
Dear Amit, You are definitely right in your logic. But the sages out of their obsevations have determined differently. I am quoting from KP as well as from traditional system. Will you please refer to page No. 154 in Horary Astrology, Sixth Reader, Ninth Edition. September 2002. "If the Ascendant is in a movable sign, 11th house is the badhakasthana, if the ascendant falls in a fixed sign, the 9th house is the badhakasthana, if the Ascendant falls in a common sign, the 7th house is the badhakasthana." Will you also refer to page No. 212 in FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF ASTROLOGY Second Reader, published in October 1971. "In Jataka Chandrika, it has been declared that the 11th house is the bhadhakasthana for persons born in movable sign (chara rasi). For those at whose births the fixed signs (sthira rasis) were ascending, the 9th house is the bhadhakasthana and for those born with common rasi (ubhaya rasis) in their ascendant, the 7th house is the bhadhakasthana".
