Guest guest
Respected Jain Sir, Namasthe. I believe you are very learned astrologer. You have read many volumes of astrology and literature. You have attempted to capture many facets of astrology. I do not deserve to your front by any means. Only instinctively I come up. You have posed 10 riddles of astrology in front of the forum. It comes to my understanding that you definitely know the right answers but wanted to test the . With my little knowledge I would like to make an endeavor to solve the 10th one regarding eclipses. You have given 6 dates with data except the latitude of Moon on those days. You have given 2 dates of Pournomy (Full-moon) and 4 of Amavasya (New-moon). Your query was that why was there no eclipse on those 2 Full-moon nights. We expected Lunar eclipses on those days. I have verified and rectified the data and added 4 more Amavasyas when the Moon was in opposition to Sun. the Sun. The table is as follows: - Date Sun’s Long Moon’s Long Rahu’s Long Kethu’s Long Moon’s Latt. Effect 8th 11 1984 203 d 23 d 35 (-) 1:07 No eclipse 3-3-1988 320 140 150 (+) 0:57 No eclipse 21-7-1982 94 94 79 (+) 2:23 Solar eclipse 2-7-2000 77 77 93 (-) 0:11 Solar eclipse 12-11-1985 206 206 194 (-) 1:03 Solar eclipse 3-10-1986 166 166 177 (+) 1:11 Solar eclipse Date Sun’s Long Moon’s Long Rahu’s Long Kethu’s Long Moon’s Latt. X-Axis = opposition of Moon to the Sun on 6 occasions. Y Axis = Latitude of Moon ranging from (-) 80 minutes to (+) 80 minutes. Series – 1 = Latitude of Moon Series – 2 = Distance of node from Moon in minutes. I have not included the solar eclipse days in this study.. On an example basis I have considered only the probable lunar eclipse dates. The representation is as under. I would only tell you there was no eclipse on the first and last dates. There was total eclipse on 2nd, 3rd and 4th occasions and partial eclipse on the 5th occasion. Now please examine and tell us the reasons and also answer your own question.. Eagerly awaiting for your response. With due regards. Dr. Luther The excell chart did not appear here. So I am attaching the file . Please find the attachment. sorry for inconvenience.
