Guest guest
Dear Members. As KP astrologers and followers, we have a great task to complete in sending and make understanding the KP ASTOLOGY to the general public all over the world, where the traditional Astro systems are familiar with. For that purpose KP followers must arm with highly gained knowledge on the subject and make an educated KP Parampara. Secondly, I think the ambition of an Astrologer should not be in business minded, but a service. But shri Raichur ji, I think, may not be rich but generously contributed his s/w in the files secn., for use of all KP lovers / beginners. Similarly shri Siva Shankarao Adigopula from Managalagiri, is not rich but generously contributed his KP s/w in full in the files secn. Guest guest
Dear Raichur ji,I am in agreement with your statement, particularly when the software was written with an intention to commercialize it. However, in the interest of promoting some uniformity and harmony in casting of charts and - by extension - predictions, it might be worthwhile to upload a basic module of any one of the KP software. This may be restricted to members on this forum by putting in some safeguards. I would like Mr. Punit Pandey to look into this possibility and consult with various KP software programmers. As you are aware, most top of the line KP software give much more than a chart. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Mathur,Such marketing gimmicks are already in vogue. Adobe Acrobat is one good example (show me one computer user who does not use it, yet only 5% may have the complete version). A 'Read Only' version is available all over the world. But you have to buy the complete version if you wish to convert your documents to pdf format. Whether to entice potential customers by getting them used to a particular software, and offering them basic versions for free or charging a nominal amount, is left to software developers/programers' discretion. At the end of it all, it is the fruit of their labour that we would be enjoying, and for that reason alone we should be willing to pay. Add to that the convenience of just 'inputting' date, time and place of birth and getting the required chart within minutes. For your informtion, Jyotisha Deepika 2.0 gives you a 7 days free trial option while KP Astro gives you an example chart to print. IK must add here that both programs are good though, I opted for KP Astro for the simple reason that it is widely used by many KP astrologers I have come across on the net.Sunil--- On Tue, 7/29/08, dev mathur <dmathur108 wrote: dev mathur <dmathur108Re: Re: kp astro Date: Tuesday, July 29, 2008, 10:28 AM Namaskar,I would suggest that members who are interested to pay a nominal fee to get just basic kp software write to the software developer who can come up with a cut down release then force the upgrade to full release later on.If the number of potential sales is large enough,i am sure the developer can agree to it..it actually help people from using license software as a beginner and in the same idea the developer can recover the full cost when people are uograded and are actually using the software as pro.just an ideaDev.--- On Tue, 7/29/08, Sunil Sharma <sunilsharma21@ > wrote: Sunil Sharma <sunilsharma21@ >Re: Re: kp astro@gro ups.comTuesday, July 29, 2008, 5:14 AM Dear Raichur ji,I am in agreement with your statement, particularly when the software was written with an intention to commercialize it. Guest guest
Respected Learned Astrologers,I procured KPAstro Ver 3.0 basic for appx Rs 3,000/- (rs 1,500/- for software and Rs 1,500/- hardware USB Pen Drive lock) from K Rangarajan on the advice of senior KP Astrologers and it has been very useful for learning. It is robust, does not crash and devoted TOTALLY to KP, i.e it does NOT bother about Vedic astrology and other systems. The only point of concern is in case the hardware (USB pendrive) is damaged, I shall not be able to use the s/w.
