Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Karu, You have taken care of most of the principles of Muhurtha. Let me elaborate some more points. Panchanga is the most important thing to see while looking for the right muhurtha. Panchanga means five parts/ organs of any time and control different elements of time. The panchanga is made up of Vara- Agni Tattva- shows the life of the undertaking. Check how the vara lord placed, this shall indicate the longevity of the event for which the Muhurtha being determined. Karana- Prithvi Tattva- This shows the accomplishments/ achievements/ final outcome of the event for which the muhurtha is being determined. Karana is half of a Tithi. Thus a lunar month which consists of thirty tithis, have 60 Karanas. There are altogether 11 karanas, out of which 7 are movable and 4 are fixed. They are: Serial Karana Lord Type 1. Bava Surya Movable Karanas 2. Balava Chandra 3. Kaulava Mangal 4. Taitila Budh 5. Gara Brhaspati 6. Vanija Shukra 7. Vishti Shani 8. Shakuni Brahma (Lagna Lord) Fixed Karanas 9. Chatuspada Vishnu (4th Lord) 10. Naga Mahesh (7th Lord) 11. Kimstughna Aditya (10th Lord) The fixed Karanas occur only once in a lunar month. They are as follows: 1. Shakuni: 2nd half of Krishna Chaturdasi. 2. Chatuspada: 1st half of Amavasya. 3. Naga: 2nd half of Amavasya. 4. Kimstughna: 1st half of Shukla Pratipad This shows that nothing should be undertaken between 2nd half of K14 to 1st Half of S01. That’s why Gurudev says that these tithes are cursed. Nakshatra- Vayu Tattva- This shows different kinds of experiences the person will pass through during the muhurtha. The Nakshatra should not be i. A bad Nakshatra as per the Navatara Chakra (If the Lagna is stronger, Navatara starts from Moon and if Moon is stronger, the Navatara shall start from Lagna) ii. A Nakshatra which causes Vedha to the Janma Nakshatra The Vedha Causing Nakshatras to each other is as follows: § Aswini and Jyeshta; § Bharani and Anuradha; § Krittika and Visakha; § Rohini and Swati; § Ardra and Sravana § Punarvasu and Uttar-ashadha; § Pusayami and Poorv-ashadha; § Aslesha and Moola; § Makha and Revati; § Purva-Phalguni and Uttara-bhadrapada; § Uttara-Phalguni and Purva-bhadrapada; § Hasta and Satabhisha, § Mrigasira, Dhanishta and Chitra Tithi- Jala Tattva- Shows the kind of state of mind the person shall have during the event. The lord of a tithi is easy to find. The first tithi, pratipada of both the paksha is ruled by Sun and all the subsequent tithis are ruled by planets in the order of weekday lords. The 8th Tithi is ruled by Rahu and so also the Amavasya. Ketu has no lordship over any tithi. Yoga- Akasha Tattva- Shows how different elements in the event shall be bonded to each other. This shows the nature of relationships between different members involved in the event. Check how well the Yoga Lord placed and also the nature of the Yoga. Serial Yoga Short Description Lord 1 Vishkumbha Door bolt/supporting pillar Sat 2 Priti Love/Affection Merc 3 Ayusman Long-lived Ketu 4 Saubhagya long life of spouse(good fortune) Ven 5 Shobhna Splendid, bright Sun 6 Atiganda Great Danger Moon 7 Sukarma one with good deeds Mars 8 Dhriti Firmness Rahu 9 Shula Shiva's weapon of destruction Jup 10 Ganda Danger Sat 11 Vridhi Growth Merc 12 Dhruva Pole, Fixed, constant Ketu 13 Vyaghata Great blow Ven 14 Harshna Cheerful Sun 15 Vajra Diamond(Strong) Moon 16 Siddhi Accomplishment Mars 17 Vyatipata Great Fall Rahu 18 Variyan Chief/best Jup 19 Parigha Obstacle/hindrance Sat 20 Shiva Lord Shiva(purity) Merc 21 Siddha Accomplished/ready Ketu 22 Sadhya Possible Ven 23 Shubha Auspicious Sun 24 Shukla White, bright Moon 25 Brahma Creator(good knowledge and purity) Mars 26 Indra Ruler of gods Rahu 27 Vaidhriti A class of gods Jup The Karaka Bhava should be empty. For studies, 4th is the karaka bhava and it should be empty. The Karaka should be well placed, either in the Lagna or in the Kendra to the Lagna. There should not be any malefics in the Sukha Trikona (4th/8th/12th). Malefics in the 8th should be avoided in all circumstances. The Malefics should preferably be placed in the Upachayas (3/6/10/11). Check the Hora and the Kala. The Hora shows the focus of the activity at any time, take both the natural significations and temporal significations of the Hora lord at any time to find the different events likely to happen in that muhurtha. Kala represents the atma of the Kalapursha and influence on it shall show the influence of different persons during that muhurtha. The various directions governed by the planets and the directions of the lord of the kalas as per the Kalachakra is as follows. Dir. -Dir. Lord -Kala Lord ------------------- E - Sun - Sun S.E - Venus - Mars S - Mars - Jupiter S.W - Rahu - Mercury W - Saturn - Venus N.W - Moon - Saturn N - Mercury - Moon N.E - Jupiter - Rahu One should not start any activity pertaining to a direction lord in the Kala of the corresponding Kala lord. Thus in Rahu Kala, Jupiter’s activity is prohibited and in Mars’s kala, Venusian activity is prohibited and so on. The method to find the kala is: The Kala of the Vara lord starts at 6:00 am LMT and thereafter, each 1.5 hours, the kala of the planet rises in the following order: Sun-> Mars-> Jupiter-> Mercury-> Venus-> Saturn-> Moon-> Rahu. From 6:00 pm LMT, the kala of the planet, in the fifth from the vara lord starts and there-after the sequence repeats in the order given above. Check the Navamsa. Along with the Lagna, the Navamsa Lagna should be well placed in the Muhurtha Chart. The Yoga-karakas in the Rasi Charts should be well placed in the Navamsa Chart. Above all, do not ignore the Atmakaraka. The influences on the Atmakaraka shall help deciphering many things that happen in a Muhurtha. Check how the Dharma Devata placed. His blessings shall show how smooth the acitivity undertaken in a muhurtha would be. Be careful of all the major bad yogas such as Kalasarpa, Sarpa, Pishacha etc. Last but not the least, the Arudha shall be well placed, as you mentioned. Study the Ghataka Chakra in Pt. Sanjay ji’s website. It is very informative on Muhurtha. It was Pratipada. That is why I warned you and more deatils can be lerned from Guru Sanjay's mail to us. Please go through and try to understand it. Next time, you may arrange a good time to meet you all. Please consider followings. 1. GURU is the karaka. He must be strong. 2. Sun is light. Keep him some where in good place, then he can send his rays and distroy all sort of darknesess. 11 th or 10th is better. 3. Check the lagna lord. It shows focus of your DHI shakthi. If Guru bless him, it will improve DHI. 4. Why not Aruda ? We need name and fame. Check AL wrt to Lagna. Moon is karaka for AL. Strong AL bring name and fame, not only for life time, but after the death too. For example Kalyana Varma says (Saraval) , Jupiter or Moon in Lagna or 7th bring undying fame. Try to bring fame to SJC. 5. 9th house from AL shows protection. If possible, ask Sun God to protect us. He is the real Guru, who removed ignorance. Otherwise ask Gurudeva. He represent Sun. Try this all and arrange a day for the meeting. Read extract from mail below in blue. Best wishes Karu (This part removed by Karu) Narasimha, are you following the panchanga these days. You wrote this letter when the terrible Amavasya was in the stars and the Moon has hidden its face in the 'sinful' (only on these days else it is the best place to be in) quarters of Tara after having approached devaguru Brihaspati on the Chaturdasi. Note that the period from Krsna Chaturdasi to Sukla Pratipada is considered a cursed period and only when the Moon begins to show its face from the dwiteeya that the curse is lifted. It is for this reason that no Guru takes a sisya on any of these days i.e. K14, K15 and S01 Tithi's. This is also the reason for not starting the lunar month on Sukla Paksha Pratipada as it is supposed to have the guru's curse (Narasimha Purana descries te incident in detail). This is also the foundation behind the ISLAMIC HIJRI CALENDAR. That Calendar starts only when the Moon is visible from Sukla Dwiteeya to avoid the curse of Guru, yet tragically we Hindoo's have fallen prey to the AMANTA calendar in most parts of India and suffer from fires, communal disharmony, religious differences etc which are the bane of a negative Jupiter as a mark of its Rudra potential (Rudramsa). Let us all resolve to follow Varahamihira and the Maharishi's in adopting the Suklanta Calendar as used in some parts of India like the Sri Chaitanya 'Gaurabda' calander, etc and bring peace and the blessings of Guru to the world. After all, this is the essence of the Satya Narayana Vrata. ( This part Removed by Karu) At the feet of Guru Pandita Kasinatha, I remain, Sanjay Rath

Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Sanjay, No it is not vice versa. Not everyone suffer ill fate in the first dasa which happens to be the dasa of the lord of Janma Nakshatra (if the navatara chakra is taken from the starting point of the vimshottari dasa, Lagna or Moon) . This is the fundamental used, for judging the navatara chakra, in Vimshottari dasa. Guest guest
Namaskaram to all MUHURTHA, or AUSPICIOUS TIME, another important part of astrology, is a famous guidance of the lives of the people, especially in Asian countries. I cordially invite to the learned panel of the KP group to discuss on this subject, for the benefit of novices to KP System. From the birth to the death, in all important event of the life of a person, it is an essential requirement to follow up Muhurtha. Especially for marriage, there is a bunch of Muhurthas to follow in Sri Lanka. It is a traditional duty of the bridegroom's party, to prepare sheet of muhurtha, containing all the dates and time for the various step of wedding and to handover it to the Bride's party, in a small function. That is called 'Nakshastra Pathra' and the function is called "Neketh Deema" (handing over the muhurtha sheet). These auspicious times are prepared according to the BT of both parties. here is an extract of such Neketh Pathra, which shows the muhurtha for, "Magul Kanuwa Situweema" - Laying of first post to build up a shelter for the visitors, called "Magul Maduwa" or wedding ceremony hall." Thel Lipa Thebeema" - Keeping the pan with coconut oil (Thel=Thailam)on heath for the preparing of Oil Cake, (Poopa or KEVUM, Konda Kewum)"Mesa Indul kireema' opening the Table and first partaking of the food and sweets, prepared for the ceremony.(Mesa=Table)Putting up the "Poruwa" the special decorated stage for the couple to be stand on the white clothes, spereded with rice.Departure of the groom from his home to the bride's place.Registration of the marriage. Magul Poruwa Ceremony (a) Stepping on to the stage (b) Getting down from the stageDeparture for the honey moon. etc etc. Taking in to account these traditional habits, I suggest to the Learnerd Gurujis to discuss about the Muhurtha and and KP rule for the preparation of auspicious time for the various steps of the human life.ie. Shasthrarambam, Gruhaprawasm, Marriage etc On Tat Sat Sunaparantha
