Political Charts: Sarah Palin

Dear Members,

 

I feel I must intervene here:

Humanity is such that judgements are often based on our own political

view. Even though this may be completely unintentional a subtle bias, in

favour of our own political leaning, cannot help but influence our

judgement.

 

From my side I feel I should reveal my own preference (based on the fact

that, although I'm not American, I'm keenly aware that the 'Superpower'

status of America has a marked influence globally, as they say; " when

America sneezes the world catches a cold " . The recent sub-prime crises,

for example, is having a negative influence on the Australian financial

market...etc, etc..

 

I personally support the Republican's stand on Pro-Life (and other moral

issues) and believe the world (at large) has gone too far in regards to

free-choice which promotes immoral behaviour. I also feel that, as much

as the Bush administration has diminished the reputation of the party in

particular and America's standing in the world generally, I'm cautiously

confident that McCain is the man who can/will restore this.

 

Although this is my view I acknowledge the fact that many others hold a

different view. I also acknowledge the fact that we all look at a

horoscope through our own eyes and no-one should be punished for this

(i.e. put on moderation). We should (instead) put our arguments forward

in a clear and intelligent manner according to the principles of jyotish;

And then, if it comes to it, we should agree to disagree amicably and

leave it at that.

 

Palin's Chart:

I finally decided to take a look at Palin's chart and, not having a

confirmed time, I decided to use the time that was on my computer. It was

00:08:24 which gave Libra rising 12:28:07 in nakshatra of Swati, lorded

by Rahu. 10th lord Moon, in lagna, also occupies Swati nakshatra whilst

Rahu occupies 9th bhava with his dispositor (Mercury), in the company of

Ketu, occupying 9th from 3rd.

 

It's difficult for me to get my thoughts together coherently enough to

attempt to rectify the chart or get into a lengthy commentary so I will

just comment on what stands out for me with this chart...

 

Venus, as we know, is known as the planet of increase and, when

influencing the 5th by occupation or aspect, can indicate increase of

children. Palin has five children! Her last child, born during Saturn

dasa (whilst Tr.Saturn aspects from Leo) was born with Down's

syndrome...I don't have the date so can't check on all the influences at

the time of the child's birth...perhaps someone could make a chart up for

this?

 

Dear Linda:

I think Palin had little choice but to pre-empt the imminent (and almost

certainly vicious) attack on her daughter/family from the Obama campaign.

I also think it was a wise and compassionate move to publicly support her

daughter.

 

I also don't think that living by strong Christian values is, in any way,

radical. However I most certainly would describe Obama's religious

affiliations as radical...remember Rev(?) Wright!

 

But, enough said! I think we have to be very careful when discussing the

charts of politicians.

 

Let's try to be good to one another and recognise that we all have a

certain view :-)
