Guest guest
Respected learned members, Only a few days back, 2 or 3 days, I had posted a message replying to a query that for a conjunction between two planets their distance should be within one degree. But in case of Moon to be conjunct with the Sun they should be about 5 degrees. Today, at the moment, Moon is in conjunct with Mars. Mars is at 6:15 degrees in Cancer while Moon is at 29:42 in Gemini. They are at a distance of abour 6:32 degrees. So the distance is even more than5 degrees. I call it conjunction because the Mars is already hidden behind the Moon. There is eclipse of Mars by Moon. I have observed it in the sky after comming to know about the eclipse from the media. In 2007 on 26th June at about 7:20 PM I also observed the Venus going behind the Moon. So Moon can eclipsize ant planet.Though thee eclipses are rare but they do happen. Since June 2007, after I had the ocasion of viewing the eclipse of Venus I wanted to know the means of finding the lattitude and longitude of each planer on any date. Unfortunately I have not been able to do so. I shall be very much oblised if any member can guide me in this line. We can find out conjunction from theephemeris. The planets remain in a streight line. But I am unable to know when they are in same plane. The Moon's orbit is inclined at 5 degrees to that of the Sun. The orbits of other planets are also inclined by different degrees. The juncture of theorbits of Sun and Moon are called Rahu and Kethu or the ascending and descending nodes. Are there ascending and descending nodes for other planets. If they have how to find out? Can Jupiter eclipse Saturn, Mars to Jupiter and Saturn, Mercury and Venus to each other. Can Mercury and Venus and Sun eclipse Mars, Jupiter and Saturn? I do agree that all these are for academical interest. Since we call astrology is a science, we should be able to explain the scientific findings though these are rare occurences. What should be the principle while predicting an event when any planet is eclipsed by Moon or another planet? To some it may appear like a bizzare thought. But for others it may be intersting. I request for personal opinion, thoughts and their guiadence. Dr. Luther Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Dear Sirs, The clue to finding the ecllipse is Rahu or Ketu. Like when Rahu or Ketu combine with Moon and Sun Solar eclipse takes place and similary if the Moon is in the seventh house of Sun with Rahu or Ketu then Lunar eclipse takes place. The line in the straight line is the position of Rahu or Ketu Good luck Jammalamadugu RanganLuther Rath <rathluther wrote: Respected learned members, Only a few days back, 2 or 3 days, I had posted a message replying to a query that for a conjunction between two planets their distance should be within one degree. Guest guest
Dear Sir, Thank you for your reply. In fact I was not asking regarding Solar or Lunar eclipse. I was asking about eclipse between Moon and Mars or Moon and Venus etc. Kindly find out if any data available. Thanking you.
