Guest guest
Dear Senior and experienced KP Astrologers,I am stunned by reading the article "Astrology -- a Science or Myth" by sri Sanat Kumar Jain published in "ASTROVISION" an internet magazine of Jan 2008. He posed a challenge to all believers in Astrology. It is reproduced below :-"Predictive Astrology is bogus and astrology is a myth. Still if you have a faith on astrology then why don't you contact The James Randi Educational Foundation who offers a US $1,000,000 prize to any one who can demonstrate that astrology works."I am surprised how such article is published in Astrology magazine by sri MK Viswanathan. Actually I have been watching any reaction from our learned members but so far no reaction is found which is still surprising to me.Beginners like us are shocked and puzzled by such articles. In the present day situation, where the modern youth have least faith in Astrology and believes in such subjects are becoming thinner and thinner, such article cause much damage by strengthening the modern trend of disbelief in Astrology.I, therefore, request the learned members should awake, react and remove at bud stage itself.KP NaiduK. Guest guest
Hello Mr Naidu, Astrology - A Science or Myth for this i would only say for those who believe in Astrology (Believe mean for sake of guidance and not blindly to the extent of something extreme negative) it is a Science and for those who don't believe it is a myth. Astrology is a subject, which does not have a traditional historical story which is or can be easily believed by anyone. It has several school of thoughts with several approaches and research in the same. Now coming back to an astrologer way of thinking i would say for those who don't believe in astrology may be their charts may carry such planetary position??????????????????? And as far as my thinking goes i don't think astrology needs to be proven for certain prize amount to be won. It is a pure subject which works and which will surely work for those who are blindfolded for it. I would like superiors and seniors to throw more light on my words Regards, Yogita"K. P. Guest guest
Dear K. P. Naidu ji, 1. I think what to do is up to Viswanathan ji. Believe or not believe in Astrology or belive in one system or another is up to the choice of the person. It can't be imposed on any body. As Shri Raichur mentioned that regarding one's belief, it can't be said right or wrong. 2. For Catholics, asking astrology prediction is generally a sin. Buddha, " Star-gazing, astrology, forecasting lucky or unlucky events by signs, prognosticating good or evil, all those are things forbidden. " But there are Catholics and Buddhists who believe in astrlogy. Regards, tw , " K. P. Guest guest
Dear Mr.TinWinji,There are different believes in the world. Every one, naturally trusts his belief is correct and rejects all others are incorrect. But one must have rationale approach to find out THE TRUTH which is only one. I think we are still in pursuit of TRUTH.Regards.KP Naidu K. P. Naidu,Flat E-1, Prince Aptmts.,Nowroji Road,Maharanipeta,VISAKHAPATNAM 530002.Phone Resi: 0891-2712591. Why delete messages? Guest guest
Thank you Mr.Purohit ji for your reply. Prize is not the important issue. Mr.S.K.Jain should be suitably and boldly be replied. I think any subject, its scientifc aspect if any, can be proved, otherwise it has no scientific aspect. KP NaiduK. P. Guest guest
Dear Mr. KP Naidu ji, That is why, Buddha said not to believe anything he said just out of respect for him. Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. Regards, tw , " K. P. Naidu " <konathalan wrote: > > Dear Mr.TinWinji, > > There are different believes in the world. Every one, naturally trusts his belief is correct and rejects all others are incorrect. Guest guest
Dear Naidu ji and Friends, Let me share my views on this thread. Suppose we write an article against physics in this forum, do you think that whole scientist community will unite and try to answer our questions? If not, should we do that? In other words, better we should ignore such emails rather than trying to respond to that. Mr. Jain's way is a good way of getting easy publicity and by responding to that we are giving that publicity to him and not serving any other purpose. Also, I personally think that astrology can never be proven on the parameters of science. Our present science is still not able to discover the very force between planets and human beings, so how we can prove it on the parameters of science where there is a suspicion on the very foundation of astrology? Without that open mind and acceptance in scientific community, it is impossible to prove and disprove anything. I would request members to stop this thread and concentrate on KP discussion. Thanks & Regards, Punit Pandey On Jan 11, 2008 11:44 PM, K. P. Naidu <konathalan wrote: Thank you Mr.Purohit ji for your reply. Prize is not the important issue. Guest guest
Dear TinWinji,Very Excellent reply. But in practice People follow just opposite of what Lord Budha said. Of course it is not so easy to practice it. It depends upon one's literacy level, level of intelligence, cultural background, attitude, family nbackground etc.Thanking you,With Regards,KP Naidu K. P.
