OBSERVATION 1) KPAstro gives exactly the same `sayana' positions of planets and cusps as Astrodienst, Swiss ephemeris provider and user (http://www.astro.com) with no more than 1-2 sec difference due to rounding. The `nirayana' positions can be get after deducting the New KP Ayanamsa from the `sayana' positions. Note: NKPA should be `directly' deducted from the `sayana' positions. The differences in positions by KPAstro and Astrodienst in Msg#3477 are because of my mistake by adjusting Astrodienst `nirayana' positions by Lahiri Ayanamsa into KPA positions. Another comparison is in Msg#2036. 2) KPAstro and Jyotisha Deepika are directly applying New KPA. (Shri Raichur's SW and Astracadabra do the same.) Jagannatha Hora, Astro-Kundli and astraura (paid one, not expensive) has the customizing or offset facility to adjust the available KP Ayanamsa to the New KP Ayanamsa. 3) The differences are not significant to change the sublord or dasa balance (except in border line cases). CAUTION Pl don't touch 'Geocentric' option in KPAstro and astraura because the default setting gives 'Geocentric positions', which we're using. Pl don't change the default setting for the MEAN value of Nodes, which is used in KP, to the TRUE value.

Guest guest
I find there is a difference of a few seconds in the valuesSri TinWin ji, Congratulations for the neat work done by you in comparing various Softwares of KP. It will help students to choose their choice siftwares. And also thanks for including Astraura which I am using, so far not knowing whether it is correct or not. I find that there is a difference of a few seconds in the cusp values, compared to KPASTRO and a big difference in the positions of Nodes. Is this difference matter much? Please enlighten me. Guest guest
Dear Sri Ghosh, Whilst Sri Raichur's suggestion is excellent,I have a Thumb rule method. If the starlord is either Sun,,Moon,Mars or Ketu, you can be reasonably sure the sublord changes quite rapidly. Please try it out. Guest guest
Dear Friends, Let me clarify, 1. What Kalvala Ramanuja Rao's finding that "there is a difference of a few seconds in the cusp values, compared to KPASTRO and a big difference in the positions of Nodes " is as per the results he got by using the paid "Astraura" , ie. Astraura Horoscope (Desktop) Version customizable for the desired ayanamsas and with option of Mean or True Node etc. I don't understand how it has been got the significant different results of cusps and Nodes by directly applying NKPA other than the results I've got by using the same "Astraura", free @ http://www.astraura.org with its original KPA and the results are pasted in the attachment. (Geographic entries are converted by the SW into Geocentric and results are given in Geocentric. Mean Node is the default setting. The 21 sec difference in Astraura original KPA and New KPA has been adjusted. The positions of Sun, Mercury & Jupiter are adjusted as per Kalvala Ramanuja Rao's data, which are only 1 sec difference due to rounding.) 2. What I've said that "a difference of more than 1-2 seconds does matter for such a comparison" means just to give the most possible accurate results for the SWs comparison but NOT FOR ASTROLOGICAL ANALYSIS. 3. The issue on accuracy had been discussed before and Shri Raichur's Remarks are given below fro your information: 1) …..this small difference in Ayana used by various KP astrologers need not bother a new comer, unduly. THE IMPORTANT ELEMENTS IN KP ARE THE STAR LORD AND THE SUB LORD. In almost all cases, a slight change in the Ayanamsa does not change these important elements. A new comer should go to the essentials, rather than worry about the technicalities of Ayanamsa. In fact The Times of Astrology publishes articles, which use Lahii Ayanamsa, dif of 6 min. appr., and the KP SYSTEM of division. I have found that in almost all cases, except borderline cases, the STAR/SUB Lords are same as the ones with accurate Ayanamsas. THE SUB-SUB LORD will change, as it is more sensitive. 2) Ultimately, it is not a question which Ayanamsa is correct, but 'USING KP WHICH AYANAMSA GIVES US THE MORE ACCURATE PREDICTIONS. ?" Note: The result of Kanak Bosmia,s research of around 120 life events of 15 AA rated charts shows that the NKPA is working better than Lahiri in the application of KP rules, especially at the Sookshma, fourth dasa level. 3) There is not any significant difference between the OLD and NEW KP AYANAMSAs. The New KPA gives a formula for calculating the ayanamsa correct to seconds, and for stickler 4) "Crazy for Accuracy" by A.R Raichur in the K.P & Astrology Year Book 1997, page 68-69 & 1998 page 87-88 (Extracts from the two articles done by Yogesh Rao Lajmi. ji are available in Msg#2857 of this Group.) 4. Moreover, some other points worthy to note are: 1) While the controversy of the correct Ayanamsa was going on, the Lahiri Ayanamsa was adopted in the Universal Table of Houses (UTOH), though not so stated. (Thanks to Shri Raichur, co-author of UTOH, for clarification.) It implies that the the Lahiri Ayanamsa had been used by the KP astrologers getting the correct results, like in Notable Persons & Krishnamurti Padhdhati by K. Hariharan. 2) The KP Stright Line Ayanamsa whose value very close to Lahiri's (within around 40sec) was also introduced and applied by some KP astrologers getting the correct results, especially in the old K.P & Astrology Year Books till 2003. 3) Mr. Khullar working at the very precise Sub Sub lord level for cuspal interlinks has used the KP Stright Line Ayanamsa. 5. The purpose of the comparison of SWs results from time to time is just to let the members know whether there is a significance difference amomg them. Now I'm preparing a comparison of Horary chart results. As a member has said, I've tried several times to calculate the following Horary chart by http://www.AstroSage.com but not yet succeeded. Guest guest
II Om Gurave Namah IIHari om , Friend, Dear friends,Without taking sides can i post the following additional exercise . Here we take live case. Every one who wishes to find truth whatever method He chooses can use. WHY This Posting. Focus is to judge what is correct” Ayanamsa value “and cusp calculation methodology to adopt that enables correct predictions. What is exercise about? It is like a quiz but not aimed to seek prediction nor meant for advocating any value or software. I myself do not know as event is yet to come. I am posting it just to evoke response, if I can learn by experience of KP astrologers on board who are willing to share their learning. Event result is just ahead after few days. Background of Case. Daughter of questioner is legally said to be married. Social function for acceptance is under way. It is inter-caste romance of Third child about. Precise question. Mother puts a question to astrologer “will social function of marriage celebration occur on 19 th Jan? Number given is 25 by mother of girl. Date was 13 Jan 2008. I have Birth data of Native involved but do not have permission from client to share. So please do not ask it. My humble request is Work out, If you can answer the question By KP alone or supplementary methods like ESP/TSP in advance to date. Please quote Ayanamsa and table/Sw used. For those who do not want to take trouble to calculate. I am attaching working, you can analyse this chart and give your finding. Please understand A slight variation of Ayanamsa alters Sub of planets Moon,Sun And Mercury.( use of Astro kundali,,Table of houses by RE Manu, Krishman tables for number and Swami omkar panchang calculations have been made and checked- which comes out correct is to be seen?) Working may involve rotation to 9 th bhava. That is done for you in attached file also. Hope members would love to try and contribute. NOTE: (Obviously I will let know the outcome after 20 th January , if this mail is approved by Moderator of the group. Attachment will be received by members who have d for individual receipt of mail) With best wishes. OM TATSAT------------------------R.C.Srivastava------------------------ Oh Creator Of The Universe ! We meditate upon thy radiant power that illuminate our intellects, destroy our sins, and guide us in the right direction! - tw853 Monday, January 14, 2008 9:04 AM Re: COMPARISON OF RESULTS BY SWISS EMPHEMERIS USING SWS Dear Friends, Let me clarify, 1. Help from any member is requested to provide me the positions of Sun to Rahu and cusps 1 to 6 or the summary PDF chart. (The Astro-Kundli Horary chart has already been received from the lovely man of action Swami ji.) Female, No 105 (1-249), When will be marriage? Every one who wishes to find truth whatever method He chooses can use. WHY This Posting. Mother puts a question to astrologer “will social function of marriage celebration occur on 19 th Jan? Number given is 25 by mother of girl. Date was 13 Jan 2008. Help from any member is requested to provide me the positions of Sun to Rahu and cusps 1 to 6 or the summary PDF chart. Guest guest
Dear Swami ji, As per your Horary no. 25 chart, 1. A slight variation of Ayanamsa does NOT alter the Sub of planet Moon, Sun and Mercury. The same is with a slight variation of planetary positions given by the different SWs commonly used. 2. The higher probability in the change of sub is not for `PLANET' Moon, Sun and Mercury but (STARLORD and) `SUBLORD' Moon, Sun and Mercury. 3. These are as per mathematics shown below: a) Female, Horary no. 25, 13-01-2008, 13:51:13 PM, Agra, 27N11, 78E01, NKPA 23:52:44, Asc Sg 22:54:22, as a usual pattern KPAstro planetary positions are around 10 sec higher than Astro-Kundali's. b) Su (268:38:15) in sub Ma will alter its sub, if and only if there is a variation more than – 11min:35sec or + 35min:05sec as sub Ma range is from 268:26:40 to 269:13:20, ie. 46deg:40sec. 268:26:40<- 11:35<Su(268:38:15)<+ 35:05< 269:13:20 (Sub Ma arrange 46:40) c) Mo (327:02:50) in sub Ve will alter its sub, if and only if there is a variation more than – 29min:30sec or + 103min:50sec as sub Ve range is from 326:33:20 to 328:46:40, ie. 133deg:20sec. 326:33:20<-29:30<Mo(327:02:50)<+ 103:50< 328:46:40 (Sub Ve arrange 133:20) d) 61:53:20<- 21:10<Ma(62:14:30)<+ 25:30<62:40:00 (Sub Ke arrange 46:40) e) 283:53:20<- 26:58<Me(284:20:18)<+ 79:42<285:40:00 (Sub Ju arrange 106:40) f) 251:26:40<- 29:53<Ju(251:56:33)<+83:27<253:20:00 (Sub Me arrange 113:20) g) 133:20:00<-48:03<Sa(134:08:03)<+85:17<135:33:20 (Sub Ve arrange 133:20) h) 305:33:20<-15:16<Ra(305:48:36)<+51:24<306:40:00 (Sub Mo arrange 66:40) i) From above without changing the sub the minimum allowable minus change is 11deg:35sec for Su and minimum allowable plus change is 25deg:30sec for Ma. So a feeling of the difference of few seconds to be a matter of concern due to change sub lords is found completely wrong. The subs will not change, if whatever KP Ayanamsa or even Lahiri Ayanamsa or any commonly used SW is applied. j) The Sublord can change only in a " border line case " as mentioned in the Horary example in Msg#16101, ie. Me (271:13:18) of Astro- Kundli, with only 10 sec lower from KPAstro's, gives the Su/Ra/Ma (Stl/Sbl/Ssl), different from Su/Ju/Ju (Stl/Sbl/Ssl) provided by other 4 SWs. If this Me position were " 2 sec " higher from the present 271:13:18, Me will be in the same Su/Ju/Ju (Stl/Sbl/Ssl) like other 4 SWs. In fact, if its own KPA, which is around 20 sec lower than the NKPA, is used, Astro-Kundli will give the same Su/Ju/Ju (Stl/Sbl/Ssl). In that example, except this border line case, the Stl/Sbl/Ssl up to the Sublord are the same for planets and cusps, if some sublords are adjusted in one SW as to be. k) In the case of Horary chart with no. 25, not the accuracy in Ayanamsa or SW but the method applied and judgment will decide the prediction. 4. First important point is whether marriage is promised or not in the natal chart. By a belief that Natal is for past karma and Horary for present karma, and some empirical findings, the event not promised in the Natal is supposed not to happen by Horary alone. 5. As per KP, according to the rotated chart, 7th cuspal sublord Sa+ (8,2,3) is in the star and sub of Ve(11,5,6) . No planet in the star of Sa, which is sublord of 1,5,6,7,12. Marriage is promised. For fulfillment of desire 11th cuspal sublord Ra+ is in 2 and in the star of Ma(6,11,12) and sub of Mo(3,8), which is coj with Ra. Sa (8,2,3) Asp Ra. For a grand marriage ceremony the house grouping of 2,7,11 is necessary. Running DBA on Jan 19, 2008 is Ju-Ve-Mo. Dasa lord Ju(12,1,4) is in the star of Ke(8,2,3) and sub of Me(1,7,10). Bhukti lord Ve(11,5,6) is in the star of Me(1,7,10) and sub of Mo (3,8). Antara lord Mo(3,8) is in the star of Ju(12,1,4) and sub of Ve (11,5,6) . Transit on Jan 19, 2008: Ju is in the star of Ke and sub Me. Ve is in the star of Me and sub Sa. Mo is in own star Mo and sub Me. Su(1,9) is in own star Su and sub Sa. A marriage ceremony with disappointment (8th) can be wishfully predicted. 6. As per 4 Step, at the time of casting the chart, RPs are Asc Sgl Ve, Mo Sgl Sa and Stl Ju, and Day lord Su. 7th cuspal sublord Sa+ is a primary significator of 11,5 in 2nd step and 7 in 4th step. Marriage is promised without taking into consideration of no more existing Pluto. 11 th cuspal sublord Ra+ is a primary significator of 2,8,12, 4 in 1 st step, 6 in 2nd step and 12,4,8 in 4th step. Dasa lord Ju is a primary significator of 8,1, 9 in in 2nd step and 3 in 4th step. Bhukti lord Ve is a primary significator of 1,7,10 in 2nd step and 12,4,8 in 4th step. Antara lord Mo is a primary significator of 12, 4,8 in 2nd step and 1,7,10 in 4th step. Transit Ju will be in Me sub and transit Ve will be in the star of Me, which is a primary significator of 3 only in the 2nd step (without 2,7,11, 5,8 marriage houses) . Transit Sun will be in own Sun, which is a primary significator of 1,9 only in the 1st and 2nd steps (without 2,7,11, 5,8). Marriage ceremony can not be foreseen. Good luck to your consultant. What Kalvala Ramanuja Rao's finding that " there is a difference of a few seconds in the cusp values, compared to KPASTRO and a big difference in the positions of Nodes " is as per the results he got by using the paid " Astraura " , ie. Astraura Horoscope (Desktop) Version customizable for the desired ayanamsas and with option of Mean or True Node etc. I don't understand how it has been got the significant different results of cusps and Nodes by directly applying NKPA other than the results I've got by using the same " Astraura " , free @ http://www.astraura.org with its original KPA and the results are pasted in the attachment. (Geographic entries are converted by the SW into Geocentric and results are given in Geocentric. Mean Node is the default setting. The 21 sec difference in Astraura original KPA and New KPA has been adjusted. The positions of Sun, Mercury & Jupiter are adjusted as per Kalvala Ramanuja Rao's data, which are only 1 sec difference due to rounding.) > > 2. What I've said that " a difference of more than 1-2 seconds does matter for such a comparison " means just to give the most possible accurate results for the SWs comparison but NOT FOR ASTROLOGICAL ANALYSIS. > > 3. The issue on accuracy had been discussed before and Shri Raichur's Remarks are given below fro your information: > > 1) ...this small difference in Ayana used by various KP astrologers need not bother a new comer, unduly. ? Moreover, some other points worthy to note are: > > 1) While the controversy of the correct Ayanamsa was going on, the Lahiri Ayanamsa was adopted in the Universal Table of Houses (UTOH), though not so stated. (Thanks to Shri Raichur, co-author of UTOH, for clarification.) Hariharan. Help from any member is requested to provide me the positions of Sun to Rahu and cusps 1 to 6 or the summary PDF chart. Guest guest
II Om Gurave Namah IIHari om , Dear Tinwin ji, Sorry for my mixing and unclear communication on my part . After Your posting Related to comparison of SW output and working with New KP AYNAMSA, There was nothing else left then to go ahead, with another problem that is related to calculation of non angular house cusp if done manually. This aspect I started probing . My mail did not emphasises it.However I talked about it in FOCUS described. I had been doing calculation for long using Raphels table,RE manU tables and Krishmans.I also used hand held Casio PC having programme written in Basic. I remain in small villages in M.P. and UP states for about one fourth time of a year serving needs of poor villagers. I can not use computer there always . Now in my working I found Ayanmsa values varying from 25 to 52 seconds among various publications.Calulation of House cusp are found Of non angular houses manually different. In fact i did cast said chart by Raphels table,Krishmans and Hand held casio and Sri omkars panchang Variation was referred in planets but cusp part was left out by mistake. What you have demonstrated is superb and explanatary that any software is good enough for day to day working. In fact your hard work has cleared many of my doubts about Use of softwares.I amgrateful for that. I am happy for You have shown me four step ananlysis which I am in process of grasping. I am thankful for yours generous posting and Sri Raichurs ji posting in connection with this case of function yes OR No.I expect more input from seniors. No where guidelines are avaiable to assess if a function will go smooth that involves warring opposition. This is a situation Where it is as good as reuniting of a partner seperated but with fanfare( celebratin-social approval) My original thinking is there is more scope to apply KP in different way here.Legally mother said they are married.Frankingly i do not know.Prasna by vedic told me question was genuine and divine permission was there to give reply to client. Professionally i replied using Vedic method For I found Sat was Retr and it can not give positive results unless 5 th may 2008 So no function is possiblr By 19 th January.I did apply Kp but was inconclusive,I did not belive Vii,II and XI will apply here.Q was social acceptance with approval . As far as Kp is concerned We can apply method attempted in case they were not married legally Looking For VII cusp from childs Cusp was fine. Here things are mother wants function should take place,Daughter need reunion with partner.Cusp representing family heads are at war ? they are to come together and not only agree but participate? This is how I saw and posted the case with background. I thank for reading this much.OM TAT SAT (On this thread I will post outcome, Because I am likly to get feedback for sure.) We meditate upon thy radiant power that illuminate our intellects, destroy our sins, and guide us in the right direction! - tw853 Wednesday, January 16, 2008 10:26 PM Re: COMPARISON OF RESULTS BY SWISS EMPHEMERIS USING SWS Dear Swami ji,As per your Horary no. 25 chart,1. A slight variation of Ayanamsa does NOT alter the Sub of planet Moon, Sun and Mercury. The same is with a slight variation of planetary positions given by the different SWs commonly used.2. The higher probability in the change of sub is not for `PLANET' Moon, Sun and Mercury but (STARLORD and) `SUBLORD' Moon, Sun and Mercury.3. These are as per mathematics shown below:a) Female, Horary no. 25, 13-01-2008, 13:51:13 PM, Agra, 27N11, 78E01, NKPA 23:52:44, Asc Sg 22:54:22, as a usual pattern KPAstro planetary positions are around 10 sec higher than Astro-Kundali's.b) Su (268:38:15) in sub Ma will alter its sub, if and only if there is a variation more than – 11min:35sec or + 35min:05sec as sub Ma range is from 268:26:40 to 269:13:20, ie. 46deg:40sec.268:26:40<- 11:35<Su(268:38:15)<+ 35:05< 269:13:20 (Sub Ma arrange 46:40)c) Mo (327:02:50) in sub Ve will alter its sub, if and only if there is a variation more than – 29min:30sec or + 103min:50sec as sub Ve range is from 326:33:20 to 328:46:40, ie. 133deg:20sec.326:33:20<-29:30<Mo(327:02:50)<+ 103:50< 328:46:40 (Sub Ve arrange 133:20)d) 61:53:20<- 21:10<Ma(62:14:30)<+ 25:30<62:40:00 (Sub Ke arrange 46:40)e) 283:53:20<- 26:58<Me(284:20:18)<+ 79:42<285:40:00 (Sub Ju arrange 106:40)f) 251:26:40<- 29:53<Ju(251:56:33)<+83:27<253:20:00 (Sub Me arrange 113:20)g) 133:20:00<-48:03<Sa(134:08:03)<+85:17<135:33:20 (Sub Ve arrange 133:20)h) 305:33:20<-15:16<Ra(305:48:36)<+51:24<306:40:00 (Sub Mo arrange 66:40)i) From above without changing the sub the minimum allowable minus change is 11deg:35sec for Su and minimum allowable plus change is 25deg:30sec for Ma. So a feeling of the difference of few seconds to be a matter of concern due to change sub lords is found completely wrong. The subs will not change, if whatever KP Ayanamsa or even Lahiri Ayanamsa or any commonly used SW is applied.j) The Sublord can change only in a "border line case" as mentioned in the Horary example in Msg#16101, ie. Me (271:13:18) of Astro-Kundli, with only 10 sec lower from KPAstro's, gives the Su/Ra/Ma (Stl/Sbl/Ssl), different from Su/Ju/Ju (Stl/Sbl/Ssl) provided by other 4 SWs. If this Me position were "2 sec" higher from the present 271:13:18, Me will be in the same Su/Ju/Ju (Stl/Sbl/Ssl) like other 4 SWs. In fact, if its own KPA, which is around 20 sec lower than the NKPA, is used, Astro-Kundli will give the same Su/Ju/Ju (Stl/Sbl/Ssl). In that example, except this border line case, the Stl/Sbl/Ssl up to the Sublord are the same for planets and cusps, if some sublords are adjusted in one SW as to be.k) In the case of Horary chart with no. 25, not the accuracy in Ayanamsa or SW but the method applied and judgment will decide the prediction.4. First important point is whether marriage is promised or not in the natal chart. By a belief that Natal is for past karma and Horary for present karma, and some empirical findings, the event not promised in the Natal is supposed not to happen by Horary alone.5. As per KP, according to the rotated chart, 7th cuspal sublord Sa+(8,2,3) is in the star and sub of Ve(11,5,6) . Sa(8,2,3) Asp Ra. For a grand marriage ceremony the house grouping of 2,7,11 is necessary. Running DBA on Jan 19, 2008 is Ju-Ve-Mo. Dasa lord Ju(12,1,4) is in the star of Ke(8,2,3) and sub of Me(1,7,10). Bhukti lord Ve(11,5,6) is in the star of Me(1,7,10) and sub of Mo(3,8). Antara lord Mo(3,8) is in the star of Ju(12,1,4) and sub of Ve(11,5,6) . Transit on Jan 19, 2008: Ju is in the star of Ke and sub Me. Ve is in the star of Me and sub Sa. Mo is in own star Mo and sub Me. Su(1,9) is in own star Su and sub Sa. A marriage ceremony with disappointment (8th) can be wishfully predicted.6. Good luck to your consultant.Regards,tw , <swami wrote:>> > II Om Gurave Namah II> Hari om , Friend,> > Dear friends,Without taking sides can i post the following> additional exercise .> > Here we take live case. The positions of Sun, Mercury & Jupiter are adjusted as per Kalvala Ramanuja Rao's data, which are only 1 sec difference due to rounding.) > > 2. The issue on accuracy had been discussed before and Shri Raichur's Remarks are given below fro your information:> > 1) ...this small difference in Ayana used by various KP astrologers need not bother a new comer, unduly. Guest guest
Hello Mr. Tin Win. Thank you for the timely software comparison. If I may be permitted, I have one general comment for the group audience. I would like to see a non-software erection of an example chart as a sort of baseline. This should be done with a calculator, or calculator program, with high precision, and care should be taken to avoid accumulation of errors, and so on. One should use the highly-rated Swiss Epemeris (which seems to be available for download in freeware program format). There was a time when jyotishis readily cast horoscopes " manually " . Surely, this is not a lost ability? Finally, I recommend astrologers always indicate the software they used when publishing horoscope details. I have often been unable to reproduce astrologer's chart details at the sub-sub lord level (even occasionally at the sub lord level) in my software(s). In science, one always describes one's experimental setup and software programs when reporting data. Thanks for reading, GA , " tw853 " <tw853 wrote: > > > Dear Friends, > > > > For your information. the comparison of planet and cusp positions by the > Swiss ephemeris using SWs is presented below. > > > > With thanks to Swami ji and Kalvala ji for providing the data, > > > > > > Regards, > > > > > > tw > COMPARISON OF RESULTS BY SWISS EMPHEMERIS USING SWS > > > > Female, July 14, 1975, 05:05 AM, Perambar, Chennai, 13N06, 80E36, > > New KPA 23:25:31 > > > > 1. Guest guest
Dear Swami ji, 1. A Pocket PC with Astracadabra of Mr. Neville Lang may be helpful for you. 2. Anyway you can get the correct prediction by manual calculations as per the following reference: June 1991 Grahavani Journal (of Hyderabad, AP.,India): " According to almost all ephemeris, Saturn had gone into retrogression and entered Dhanus (Sagittarius) and again reentered Makara (Capricorn) on 15 December 1990. But according to Vakya Panchanga (ephemeris) followed by Nadi astrologers in South India, Saturn entered Makara on 10 February 1991, that is, a difference of 55 days. Then what is the fate of the children born between 15 Dec 1990 to 10 Feb 1991, whether Saturn is to be placed in Dhanus or Makara. According to Vakya Panchanga, such a situation is common for Saturn whenever it retrogrades or entering the signs, there will be a difference of nearly 90 days, and for Jupiter 15 days and for fast moving planets Budha (Mercury), Sukra (Venus) for 1 to 3 days will be there. How to reconcile this position is for scholars in the science to decide. All Nadi literature was based on Vakya Panchanga and the predictions arrived on such calculations are 80% coming true. In view of the different Graha Gathis (planetary movements) even the horoscope charts prepared through computers are of no use " . 3. If TSP were applied by you at the time and place of Hoary prediction, the answer is NO, as shown by the KPAstro 3.0 print-out below. Pt. Kar's Theory of Short Prediction Location: AGRA, UTTAR PRADESH, India 13/Jan/2008 Time: 05:30:00 AM Horary: 25/249 Question: Will be marriage ceremony? Analysis Time used for analysis: 13-Jan-2008 [5:30:0] Saturn's effect is not considered for analysis. ASC lords are Ve-Su-Sa-Sa MOON lords are Sa-Ju-Sa-Me Rule - 1: SS lord of Asc SS lord is Ra. Mo, Ma, Sa are agents of Ra. Sa is ASC SS lord. Rule Satisfied. Rule - 2: Star lord of Asc SS lord is Ve. Rule NOT Satisfied. Rule - 3: Star lord of SS lord of Asc SS lord is Ma. Rule NOT Satisfied. 1 out of 3 rules satisfied. Hence according to TSP, the answer is NO. 4. Since the couple was already married, as per my limited knowledge of KP, the ceremony with disappointment is more possible because there are 2,11 houses without house 7 and repeated house 8. 5. I'm wondering whether life or astrology, devine science, can be set in mathematical equations, to give the same answer for any astrologer who applies the same rules of equations. I don't think so. Guest guest
Dear Gandalfaragorn ji, 1. Why don't you try yourself and let the forum know the results, if you're interested in manual calculation. The results of Astrodienst, the provider and user of Swiss ephemeris or the same results given by KPAstro 3.0 can be taken as a basic. 2. For me it isn't necessary to do so because I've faith in developers of SWs that they're doing good job. I had already presented the comparison 4 times before in this forum. In only extreme cases of going back 200 or 300 years back, some SWs go out of line depending which ephemeris they are using.
