Dear Vinayjee,

I downloaded your s/w and installed it on an XP system. I could enter the

necessary birth details. However, I could not generate any charts as I got

" overfolow 6 " error.

once you test my program for at least a dozen persons.

When I double click on Phali.Sr.Eng.M I get this following

message, and nothing happens further.

" Winzip encountered problems during the operation. Would you like to

see the Winzips log Files ? "

This has already taken half an hour today, just like it took me more than one

hour last time too, unsuccessfully.

You must get a good Technical Fellow who knows all this and make

the downloading part easy.

People like me are just ordinary users of the Normal Computer programmes and

anything heavy gives a headache.

I await further instructions from you.

Krishnamurthy Seetharama Jee,

" overflow 6 " error means that the program files are corrupt and are not working

properly. Since a large number of users are already using it without any

problem, source of this problem must be defective downloading : either virus or

overburdened server traffic during downloading. Hitherto, 3 or 4 persons have

reported this " overflow 6 " error. i will try to add more servers for

facilitating alternative downloading sources.

Bhaskarji,

You are not following the instructions.

There is no file named " Phali.Sr.Eng. M " If you got such a file, it must be a

creation of some virus. I never created such a file.

There is a file named " PhalitSrEng.MDB " which you need not touch. It will be

automatically installed and used by the program.

There can be only two possibilities : either you did not follow instructions ,

or there must be virus or some other problem in your machine.

Dear Vinay ji,

I assure you there is no Virus in my PC and I use the best Anti Virus

programmes fully Licensed for which i pay full money.

I am also following the instructions properly and clicked on the

Setup.exe File too which again brought the same error to me. I have a XP

Operating system.

This is the case where the dancer knows how to dance, but actually the

floor is not even.

About the filename you mentioned, yes its the same File, I could not

write the full name because in the details list the bigger names are not

mentioned fully, but they have ...... mentioned after few letters so i

do not come to know the full name.

When my AMC Software fellow comes home next time, ( he should be coming

in 2 days time) then i will ask him to load this, and if he also cannot

do so, then I will get back to you with his comments.

There is no need to double click on any file excepting Setup.exe file. You

should not double click PhalitSrEng. MDB

But even if you double clicked PhalitSrEng. MDB, it should have opened in Ms

Access. All *.MDB files are Ms Access files : MDB means " Microsoft Data-Base

file " . But if it refuses to open, SETUP is defective. If your antivirus is OK (

I use McAfee which costs nearly Rs 1000 per year, earlier I used Norton

Antivirus costing Rs 2000 per year, but computer slowed down to interable speed,

hence I shiftwd to McAfee), then only one of two possible causes must be there :

(1) Download may be defective due to server overloads. The server I use is based

in USA and is not in my control. The main data file is 7 MB , but my

jyotirvidya website cannot upload files larger than 2 MB, and my wikidot website

has a macimum capacity of 5 MB. If you send me your gmail ID, I will send you

these files through email.

(2) Another reason may be incompatibility of some Window programs in your

machine with my software. i had sent you one message from a user which you

misinterpreted. Read it again :

If a person is offering a Jyotish Software and talk about it is going in this

Group itself, then if any problems are encountered by any member, it makes sense

to write about the same in the open here in the Group itself, so that others who

are reading and facing similiar problemns will know the solution without asking,

and which saves repetition.

Of course any one to one poetic posts, or showcase of the mastery over the

English language, or gibberish unconsequential postings done in the 17th century

Worldsworth European English, which attempts humour and satire, but fails

miserably and leaves the reader in a pitiable condition, such postings must be

taken off from all Jyotish groups.

One thing that I can assure you is that I don't have virus on my system. I have

licensed anti-virus software installed. And, all other programs are working

problem, source of this problem must be defective downloading : either virus or

overburdened server traffic during downloading. Hitherto, 3 or 4 persons have

facilitating alternative downloading sources.

problem in detail. I will suggest remedies. I assure you will be more than happy

once you test my program for at least a dozen persons.

Please do no use sarcastic comments about RR ji. He is a good hearted person and

he has not retorted sarcastically.

To RR ji :

Bhaskar ji is right in suggesting that other persons may benefit from discussion

concerning software support issues. During past four months, nearly 950 persons

downloaded the Kundalee software and only 65% succeeded in complete downloading

while a few dozen persons could not run it even after downloading. Hence it is a

problem of hundreds of members. As I do not sell my astrological

services, what is wrong in discussing this software here ? Do you know how many

years I wasted over developing it ? Mr Shyam Kansal is a well known software

developer especially interested in Ashtaka Vargas, and he reported in AIA that

he never saw any horoscope software dealing so exhaustively with Ashtakavargas

as Kundalee (he also had no problem in installing it). Ashtakavarga is a small

part of my work, my real forte is precision of Vimshottari timings, which I

claim to be perfect. Other software developers work in teams, I am all alone,

and follow apparently

outdated principles. Hence, it will take years or perhaps decades to make its

presence felt.

One thing that I can assure you is that I don't have virus on my system. I have

licensed anti-virus software installed. And, all other programs are working

perfectly fine.

properly. Since a large number of users are already using it without any

problem, source of this problem must be defective downloading : either virus or

overburdened server traffic during downloading. Hitherto, 3 or 4 persons have

I downloaded your s/w and installed it on an XP system. I could enter the

necessary birth details. However, I could not generate any charts as I got

" overfolow 6 " error.

One user told me that fancy settings for Windows are interfering with

installation. Another user said my software wanted to install old version of

some DLL files which he did not like. If such problems arise, please consult

your technician. i never tested mu software on Vista, but it is okay for Win98

and all packs of XP.

I thank you for your rational approach .

I can re-compile my software again for virus-infected systems, by changing the

extensions of *.exe files which will have to be manually renames to *.exe. But

installation will take more time, which you may not like to afford.

A simple alternative is to install the program as it is , and report me the

problem in detail. I will suggest remedies. I assure you will be more than happy

once you test my program for at least a dozen persons.

By the way I love RR ji very much and think that I have the liberty to say him

anything I wish affectionately. I have been associated with him for some time

and not new to knowing him, and respect him for very many things he possesses.

But how did you and RRji guess that my comments were for him ? Did they match

his persona or behaviours ? Does he write in prehistoric European Poetic english

which does not go down anybody's head? And does he not write about Jyotish at

all ? Does he write incohrent , almost all the time ? I dont think so. I beleive

that his postings are very much smart indeed and not meant for the ordinary

people. Only the pseudo-intellectual ones can understand what he wishes to

convey.

You should not double click PhalitSrEng. MDB
