Dear friends of the list

I have been trying to follow Narasimha's exposition of the charakarak use of

Rahu, and found it interesting to read someone else's attempts to decode what

ancient astrologers were trying to convey.

For myself I always question the sutras knowing full well that translation and

interpretation, even personal bias can leave very little of the original intent

of meaning behind.

However, in the Puranas we learn Rahu was granted the boon of becoming a planet,

with immortality and victory over the gods, and power to devour the two

luminaries only during his planetary periods to indicate good and bad things for

the world.

Due to having his head cut off we have the image of a serpent trying to digest

something it has eaten. Have you ever seen a snake eat a large creature? The

form of the creature is visible as it passes down the snakes body.

In this way the snake assumes the shape of the creature it devours.

Similarly when recently Rahu was in conjunction with Uranus, it took on the form

of this planet.Uranus is in exchange with Neptune. Uranus is a tall planet while

Neptune rules the sea and the depths. Uranus is electric and rules the air and

subtle fields of energy transmitted across the air.

While Rahu was in conjunction with Uranus we had a mundane event in the UK which

clearly demonstrated how Rahu swallowing Uranus became taller than ever. Energy

companies started planting wind turbines around our shores. We are now an island

clearly demonstrating that at this epoch Rahu with Uranus becomes the extra tall

height of giant wind turbines, and in exchange with Neptune, we see those extra

tall wind turbines planted in the sea, ready to capture and seize the subtle

fields of much needed energy for use by the population.

I could never think of a more suitable metaphor for the role and nature of Rahu,

nor for the exchange of Uranus and Neptune, and their combined effect on mundane

affairs.

best wishes M
