I just took a look again at the charts of the presidential hopefuls in both

eastern and western systems.

O has got a partial Mahaparivartana in his chart due to exchange with Mer Ven

Moon, with Mer in seventh conjoint sun--karaka for government work/position.

M doesn't have any such distinguishing yoga, though he does have Mahapurusha

Saturn opposite Sun in seventh house.

I would say O has a greater chance of winning.

Looking at the transits on the day of elections Rahu transits exact degree of

asc of O's chart, signalling a major life transformation. Sun transits his tenth

house and is square to his natal Sun, signalling an event of significant

proportions connected to his career.

The star on his asc is ruled by the Moon, karaka for fame, and he is in Ju Mo

dasa, and on election day the Moon will transit his first house bringing him

mass recognition due to participating in the election.

 

Not only this looking at the western perspective he was born when planet Jupiter

crossed over the influence of Saturn and Venus above his place of birth in

Hawaii, using geoplotting of the earthly influence of terrestrial planets.

 

Planets in declination in the same degree can also be used to determine success

for natives, as has been shown in many western researches. In O's chart he has

transit Pluto contraparallel natal sun, but if you are averse to using Pluto he

has transit sun contraparallel natal moon. Parallel declination means in same

degree and hemisphere, North or south, contra parallel means opposite

hemispheres but same degree of declination.

 

For John McCain there are many aspects in declination but with outer planets,

but his natal moon is contra parallel transit Pluto, showing a significant

influence on planets making him be Queen or second in line to the 'throne' is

how I would interpret this. His transit Sun is semi sextile natal mid heaven

which is quite a powerful aspect, and in many charts this aspect shows a change

in life situation, which I expect is the fact he will be a government official

once the election is over.

What does worry me is the fact that Neptune, planet of confusion, deception and

delusion and dreams is stationary until Sunday when it moves direct, so seeming

to augur some skullduggery in 'fixing' election results. In the solar ingress (

tropical chart) for Washington DC in September Neptune occupied a key position

in the fourth house, or 'throne' of government. It rules the fourth house and is

near the fourth cusp, and is in mutual exchange with Uranus. I expect Uranus to

give some inspired outcomes for this election in spite of the skullduggery which

will take place! Saturn in tropical Virgo in tenth house seems to be a warning

that great attention to detail and regulations and administrative process is

demanded on this occasion, more than ever before, and due to transit Uranus

aspecting transitting Saturn in exact aspect currently, I feel the planets are

conspiring to ensure an inspirational result:-)

The lunar phase chart preceding this event is the New Moon chart of 28 Oct,

which astrologers applying mundane astrology would use to see what is going to

happen at this election.

Tropical Taurus is on the asc, and Venus, the ruler is near to seventh cusp, but

in Sag ruling eighth house, auguring changes for the country and a new

partnership for the people. Mars, ruler/military and leader, Sun,

King/president, and Moon, Queen and masses are in seventh house. A massive

mutual exchange takes place at the time of this New Moon, and this is between

Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Mercury. This happens in houses 9, higher powers and

in my book divine intervention, house 5 past events and history in the making,

house 6, the election or 'competition itself, and house seven as already

mentioned.

Ketu is in fourth house and shows the seat of power is under review with a

karmic return in place and a new cycle for the future.

Uranus rules Aquarius on tenth house, and is in exchange with Neptune conjoined

North node--the past karma-- in tenth house. Again this outer planet augurs some

cheating as well, and this is karmic in nature dute to north node influence, and

relates to some past events. Because Uranus exchnages with Neptune however, and

is in eleventh of honours, this is an opportunity for the country to bring about

and gain from an inspired change of 'cabinet ministers', and to realise hopes

and dreams of Neptune, through electing a new governing regime.Well lets hope

this is what it means!

At the end of the day, if your favourite leader doesn't get voted in, remember

this, the planets are older and wiser than us, and know far better than we do

who should win!
