Guest guest
Dear Anne, Sahni ji, Marg, Sunil and all others, Let me first take this opportunity to wish you all and the group a very happy DIWALI and may Lakshmi ji bless you all in her Ashtroops. Anne, you've echoed my sentiments. Books are to be enjoyed with all our senses and more. There are all types of books to fill us with delight…. see them, smell them, touch them, swallow them, or of you like chew and digest them. Imagine those we love and possess… so well known to us… yellow and brittle… each blot with a story behind…. dog's ears made unwillingly for want of a marker… butter marks for having read it during dinner… everything tells a tale… a history to behold… the book becomes a monument in itself. And now, running on the info highway with computers… reading e-books! Its like having fast-food… good sometimes… but not a connoisseur's delight, unless you hit upon a rare gem… most of the internet stuff is cut-paste and below average. Back to astrology, being so much into books, I am at a loss as to where to place them. For me they've captured all the houses of my horoscope. But I guess mercury will be most important karak for books and a good mercury having connection with 8H/scorpio surely makes BOOKWORMS. PS: 'Damage-control rules'… was funny. I was also sometimes given a similar treatment (punishment) for my over indulgence. Regards Neelam
Guest guest
Dear Neelam, Yes! Swallow, chew, digest! Our moms noticed something unusual about our indulgence and worried...rightfully so...Books are also my first defense-response, comfort-food - yes, e-books ARE fast-food, sugar-shot, but real ones are for all senses to enjoy! Sunil asked recently if there is astro difference btw. books and e/food.I don't know, really. But real-life difference is huge! I do not have any astro-explanation for this- I'd say we need whole chart + intuition/psychology. Warm regards, Anna --- On Mon, 10/27/08, neelam gupta <neelamgupta07 wrote: neelam gupta <neelamgupta07 Re: Re: Books Karaka & House Once agai Monday, October 27, 2008, 9:28 AM Dear Anne, Sahni ji, Marg, Sunil and all others, Let me first take this opportunity to wish you all and the group a very happy DIWALI and may Lakshmi ji bless you all in her Ashtroops.
