Indra is a fighter. His vajrayudha is related to backbone. He is

capable of releasing the imprisoned water.Prtihvi is the base form

and hence is associated with mooladhara, the root chakra. Any Indra

who wants to attain higher victories has to drink ''Soma''. I request

everybody to think and share what this soma is. This is the sukha

that we have to sacrfice connected with moon/mana.The lightning of

Indra and its effect on mooladhara is to be thought of. This brave

effort/fight from Indra alone can result in ''higher'' victories.

Makara is Swarga and makara the dragon is a thorana in front of every

temple. When Adi Shankara was caught by a crocodile, he had pleaded

to his mother to allow him to take up Sanyasa. Crocodile the vehicle

of Ganga, was trying to make shankara evolve from prithvi to its next

state Jala. However Sanyasa is also about giving prithvi or material

life.Suns movement on to Makara rashi is Makara Sankranti and is

considered auspicious.Bhishma pita maha and his resting on sarasayya

(dhanu), until makara and connection with fisherwoman,Ganga etc are

similar stories.Siva wearing serpents as ornaments winning over time

as a yogi and sitting in a position to hold Ganga falling from

heaven, adorned by ashes etc are all explaining the same

truth.Mrityu/Mrityinjaya sthana.
