for Narasimha -Joe Biden and Sarah Palin (not her child, but daughter potential scandal)

Namaste Lakshmi,

I do not trust the speculation that downs syndrome baby is her daughter's. Her

teen daughter being pregnant is authentic news. I do not think it will derail

her run and I definitely don't think McCain will change his plan now. McCain is

a gutsy maverick. While the candidate of " change " changed the tune of change and

picked an old career politician and an ultimate insider, the maverick did pick

another maverick who went against the GOP establishment before! My judgment is

that this negative media coverage will not hurt and people will start to

resonate and warm up to McCain-Palin ticket.

If you look at Sarah Palin's annual TP chart, Jupiter is the 7th/10th lord and

he joins 5th lord Venus in 7th (in 5th from AL). They give a nice raja yoga.

Jupiter dasa runs from Aug 26 to Oct 28 (pretty much till election).

The first antardasa of Rahu runs from Aug 26 to Sept 2. No wonder these is some

scandal and negative coverage, because this is Rahu antardasa in Jupiter dasa.

Moreover, Jupiter and Rahu conjoin in arudha lagna in the 10th house in D-7 and

there is some negative image (AL) due to this scandal (Guru-Chandala) and public

discussion (10th house) about her daughter (D-7).

But we know that these things come and go. For example, Obama's pastor story got

really nasty. He gave a superb speech saying " I can no more disown him than as I

can disown my grandmother " and looked like a fool without any judgment when he

was forced to eat the words and publicly disown his pastor (but not grandmother)

within a couple of weeks - actions which made the great speech look like a mere

gimmick. That story was nasty, but he survived it. Nobody talks about it *now*.

These things happen.

Sept 2-15 is Venus antardasa. That should clear the air. Jupiter and Venus are

10th, 7th and 5th lords together in 7th within 4.5 degrees. They should give

success. BTW, I am not at all afraid of a Dan Quayle kind of negative first

impression as some in media are fearing. I think Sarah Palin will make a nice

first impression in the next few days and endear herself to the section of

electorate that she needs to bring to the ticket. Interestingly, Venus mahadasa

Jupiter antardasa will run during Jan 11-23, when the next president and VP will

take oath.

All these breaking news stories become irrelevant at the end. What will matter

the most as far as Sarah Palin and Joe Biden are concerned is how they perform

at the single VP candidate debate. The debate will be held at 8 pm CDT on Oct 2.

I looked at the daily Tithi Pravesha charts (DTPC) of the two for that time

(free software JHora can be used). The 3rd house shows debates and D-10 is the

chart of professional life.

In Joe Biden's D-10 of DTPC, 3rd lord Moon is in 12th with Rahu. Dasa of Sun

(debilitated and afflicted by Ketu, but well-placed in 6th) runs till 8:45 pm

and then Moon dasa starts. As Moon is associated with 3rd, it does show a debate

at that time, but does not show a good debate. This dasa cannot be all that

good.

In Sarah Palin's D-10 of DTPC, 3rd house has lagna lord Saturn, exalted 5th/10th

lord Venus and 7th lord Moon. Jupiter is in a quadrant from Moon and gives

Gaja-Kesari yoga. Moon dasa (7th lord in 3rd with exalted yogakaraka Venus) runs

during the entire course of debate. This shows a very endearing and refined

performance in the debate. Is everybody underestimating a very intelligent lady?

Some project Sarah Palin as a rookie from a small state who will be a deer lost

in the headlights of national politics, and Joe Biden as a pro who will shred

her to pieces. Looking at their daily charts, I am not so sure. In fact, it

seems quite likely to me that Sarah Palin will have a great debate on that day.

If that happens, will all the bad headlines of today matter then?!

Apart from predictions and astrology, I want to say one thing personally.

Mistakes and misfortune happen to all. Perfection is rare to find in this age.

Measure of a person's greatness is seen in how he or she responds to mistakes or

misfortune.

Whether it is a Joe Biden battling with the death of wife and daughter when he

was to take oath as a senator, or a Sarah Palin battling scandalous stories

about people dear to her when she takes stage on the national politics, or a

John McCain deciding to not take the offer of release ahead of others and

staying imprisoned and suffering greatly because of it, I respect the heroism in

all these people and my hats off to these great souls. It is easy to look at

their faults and judge them unfavorably. But they all seem like people of some

level of character.
