Guest guest
Hello. Please recommend one or two reputable books (English language) that describe in depth the Nakshatra/pada system. I am still a relative beginner, having studied much of the basics of Vedic Astrology. I now wish to study the Nakshatra/pada system in some detail, as it seems a fascinating and highly relevant part of Jyotish/Vedic Astrology. Thank you. I searched for books written by Mr. Behari, but could find none going by that name. By any chance are you referring to his " Myths & Symbols of Vedic Astrology " book? Guest guest
||Om Ganeshaya Namah|| ||Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya|| Dear, The book by Bepin Behari is very much the one listed by you. I did not give you the exact name, for which I must apologize. Other books which I have seen and appreciate are as under - Nakshatras (similar titles) by Prash Trivedi by Dennis M. Harness by K.T. Shubhakaran I personally rate the information given by Shri Sanjay Rath as much superior to any other resource, in his freely downloadable write-ups from various sites. Even VRA (Vedic Remedies in Astrology) gives details about Nakshatras in much detail, along with its main theme & Mantras etc. I would recommend one to attend the coming Nakshatra Seminar at New Delhi by Sri Rath as the best available resource where you may get the literature also as per your desire, in addition to your thirst for knowledge shall be quenched. However, in case it is not feasible, you may try the three books above, Mr. Santam's book, Mr. Behari's book etc. The book by Mr. Prash Trivedi is a satisfactory resource. I will still prefer to recommend that the CDs likely to be available from SJC after the conference (We may request the proceedings & papers presented also to be published in the form of a book) shall be the best resource for those who are not able to attend this conference. Regards & Radhe-Krishna!
