Guest guest
Dear Narasimha, I have a problem deciding/reading about profession, too-(I do use D10- why deprive yourself of /readily available/ information? ) I find 9th h. in D10 to be very difficult to handle- another thing I've seen, strength of the planets in D10 always work nicely in prediction, of dasas interpretation, I mean- in that respect it seems to me that D10, has a part of 'life of its own' /in addition to having relation with Rasi's 10th/. I would appreciated your comment on this-would help me better organize info. Thanks. Guest guest
Dear Shri Narasimha, Though your message was addressed to Shri Gopu, I guess it was meant for me :-) My D10 lagna is Pisces. 2nd lord Mars is exalted in the 11th. And, 10th lord Jupiter is in the 10th. No wonder I had a great career! Thanks for your kind inputs. Regards, Krishna Narasimha Rao <pvr wrote: Namaste Shri Gopu, > Interestingly, in my D10, Mercury and Ketu are placed in the 6th! Many people look only at the 10th house to see profession. However, all the artha trikonas (2nd, 6th and 10th) in D-10 must be seen for career. If the 6th house house is strong and dominates, it can show the career. The 2nd house is the resources one has access to in one's job. The 6th house is effort put in to solve problems that come up in one's job. The 10th house is what one accomplishes on one's job. They all together define one's profession. The relative role of each of these three aspects changes from chart to chart. Mercury and Ketu in 6th in D-10 can certainly show a software job. Guest guest
Folks, The whole point of my earlier email was to find out if Saturn had anything to do with accounting (calculations). But the topic got totally masked. Mars does not rule accounting -mars rules logic (tarka). Lawyers, engineers and finance professions require good use of logic. -- Sincerely, Manjunath Sharma

Guest guest
Dear Raja, Venus is influencing the software industry for reasons other than mathematics. Mathematics is not the arena of Venus. Also I do not consider that today's software industry needs strong mathematics background. It used to be those old days, when mathematics was heavily used to form core libraries. Nowadays, less than 5% of the software professionals are developing core libraries; rest are involved in very high-level software activities, one of them being the web design and other user interface design. That is why artistic creation is more involved in today's software development than core logic. In older days software was attributed exclusively to Mercury and to some extent to Mars. But, now Venus takes a considerable share of this industry thus reducing the share of Mercury and Mars. Also I do not attribute Accounting to Mars. Mars rules logic, or tarka. In fact, Mars has a say in the software industry due to 'logic' being the key requirement for software. Guest guest
Dear Satya ji, Your observation about 'very few people involved in developing core libraries today' is very true. In our times, most of us were doing this! I am proud to be part of the era of s/w development when most of us were involved in 'real development'. Coming to planetary significations, I would like to summerize what all I have learnt from different corners: - Mercury: Writing code or dcumentation - Ketu: Closely working with computers - development/testing/hardware - Mars: Logic - Venus: Designing - Rahu: Using computers to get ones daily work done. May not know much about software/hardware. This person is merely an end user like theose in banks or ticketing couters where computers are used as a tool get the routine things done. Guest guest
mars rules technical ability. from taking accounting courses it is a technical ability. don't want to argue this point however and may we just figure it out on our own. remember in accounting there are different methods to accounting therefore there are different logics ie fifo or LIFO. mars def rules logic so it does rule law engineering and military police and sports. interestingly enough I think the person who said that rahu is for daily computer use and mercury is for documentation and Venus is for designing did a really good job of explanation. that list should be archived as satya (truth) it would be a great idea for us to archive the truth we determine through these dialogues and dialectics we are engaging in and one day we can publish this for the astrological community worldwide. create a word doc with essential truths. put it in the files section. any members agree? _____________________________ Raja Gursahani Cell 559.474.8576 Sent from my iPhone
Guest guest
Dear Sri Raja, It is upto you to attribute any field to Mars. It is not my intention to argue with you in this matter. Mars rules logic, but accounting is not a subject with logic in the literal sense of logic. If we think that way, then that much logic is present in every field; minimum logic is something like common-sense. The real fields of Mars are Engineering in general, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Civil Engineering, in fact Electronics Engg also can be counted as far as logic circuits are concerned, Construction, Real Estate, Sports, Medical Surgeons (since Mars rules cuts and cutting), any field where rules are enforced like Police, Military etc., and any role where leadership and authority are exercised. Even computer programming logic falls under Mars. Manufacturing of arms and cuttery (like scissors, knives etc). There may be other fields, which I have not listed, but related to Mars charactersitcs and karakatwa. Remember Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Kethu; hence they are alike to some extent. Scorpio is for secrecy and hence intelligence services also may be attributed to Mars and Kethu as well. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Satya This principle that you state was explained to Sri K N Rao by Sri Hardeo Shastri of Solan. The principle also is given in Phaldeepika. In both places it is stated 10th lord is to be taken from the stronger from the lagna and Moon. And then check the depositer of the 10th lord in Navamsa in Rashi chart. In his article, Sri Rao also states 2-3 other principles. Secondly, Sri K N Rao also states that both profession and education can be found from Karakamsha in his book. In my view, the first principle does not always give the correct results, though it generally define inclinations in one's chart.
