Guest guest
To All: We've discussed the meaning of this story from the Mahabharata before. However, I'm adding a few insights to the message of this story. From the standpoint of marriage, Draupadi represents the lover one is seeking, either man or woman. The reason that one is not finding that person for marriage purpose is because there are weaknesses in the person's significations of the five elements, as indicated by the various grahas. For example, if one has kujadosha, then that person's signification of the fire element (Mars) is very prominent, thus making it very difficult to find a spouse. For those who are married, kujadosha can cause separations and divorces. From the standpoint of health, Draupadi represents our body constitution which balances the five elements to maintain bliss and happiness. Any imbalances of the five elements can cause diseases. For example, too much Sun and Mars in the jyotish chart can cause ailments attributable to heat, such as heart attacks, high blood pressure, and strokes. Therefore, in order to have better relationships and health, we need to understand our mental and body makeup in order to find the key to our happiness. Regards, John R.
