Rahu in kendra placed with a Yogkaraka, becomes a superior Yogkaraka too for the native. Therefore the effect of Rahu would be superb in its Dasha and antardasha. But one cannot remove the natural characteristics of any planet, whether it is a malefic or a benefic, from coming into play, in life of the native. Here it could be extra marital flings too, among other features. Anyways, though you have given a general idea here, I feel we shouldn't forget this combination will also put ketu in lagna and with Mars and Rahu together aspecting lagna can make one odd. My experience and as proclaimed by Dr Raman , if Mars/Rahu/Sat, any two of these are connected, their antar dasas can give shocking events, sure is the case if the transits are adverse. For malefics we can rarely say superb results. Rahu is a planet which is not so easy to predict. Again, it is said that Rahu-Mars in Lagna or Chandra Lagna can make one lacking in discretion and independent thinking, becoming aggressive and domineering. In my friends case, his wife has Rahu in the 7th and Mars aspecting this from 4th and she pressurized him to desert his parents. And please see alongwith other texts, Jatakaa Desha, says that in the antar dasa of a malefic aspecting its own bhava, the bhava results will be felt but will be malefic. In my experience this dictum is correct. So one should be careful attributing too much good to natural malefics. And in our case, think about these occupying Sun's constellation who is 2nd lord. I hold the view that unless these two are not connected with benefics, or occupying subha vargas their antar dasas will prove mostly malefic only. I saw the quote that when mars is connected with rahu, mars dosha is cancelled but its said that this is not correct. Here being yoga karaka, I feel if appropriate dasa is there, marriage may not delay. Guest SG100 Posted May 4, 2014 Report Share Posted May 4, 2014 In my opinion, for Cancer lagna, Mars + Rahu in 7th house gives good results during the dasa of these planets. Mars in exhalted, Rahu is in a friends house + Kendra. Also, consider the degrees for actual beneficial results. Note: this is solely based on the placement of these planets. Then there are the other 7 planets that could add to this result, depending on aspects, etc. Check Navamsha chart for planetary strengths as well.
