Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji In Classics it is mentioned that feet is to be understood through Rahu and Meena. Also Rahu in the 10th (Karma sthana) will make one have dip in holy waters and pilgrimages. Rahu is Time and hence takes the shades of other planets as per astrology(Chaya). Regds Pradeep
Guest guest
dear Bhaskar, why saraswatiji instead of durga as prescribed by the classics and also what do you mean by holding the tongue for rahu to be benefic. do you mean that in rahu mahadasha one is carried away with one's speaking to others? sincerely, __________ Raja G. Guest guest
Dear Raja, // why saraswatiji instead of durga as prescribed by the classics // If You can explain me what are the different Gunas attributed to the various Goddessees like Lakhsmiji, Parvatiji and Durgaji, and why, I will be able to easily explain you why Saraswatiji is prescribed for Rahu and not Devi Durga. Also if you can exxplain me why we worship Lakshmiji for Wealth, and not Durga or Parvatiji then too it would be easy. Also explain why one is told to keep a Silver elephant in his pooja room for propitation of Rahu. You may understand the answer probably on your own from above once you put it in writing. // and also what do you mean by holding the tongue for rahu to be benefic. do you mean that in rahu mahadasha one is carried away with one's speaking to others? // If You can guide me, how Rahu would behave in each of the 12 houses with its effects on native. After this narration, if you could give me the common factor noticeable in all these 12 houses, then I can attempt at replying your query. Here too , the common factor would give the clue as regard to your query. Time is short on my hand, which is why I am asking you to do this much work , otherwise I would have written all above and explained myself. regards, Bhaskar. , " Raja Gursahani " <rajagursahani wrote: > > dear Bhaskar, > > > > why saraswatiji instead of durga as prescribed by the classics and also what > do you mean by holding the tongue for rahu to be benefic. do you mean that > in rahu mahadasha one is carried away with one's speaking to others? > > > > sincerely, > > > > __________ > > Raja G. Guest guest
one point at a time here: durga is the prescribed deity for worship during rahu mahadasha T/F? because in the classics it does say this correct? you are giving saraswatiji because I believe that rahu can be a great tragedy for educational goals and as a result you pray to saraswatiji because you want to alleviate this aspect correct? please provide me some source or understanding for this change in worship procedure? sincerely, __________ Raja G. Guest guest
To my knowledge No classic has prescribed Durga worship for Rahu. But the other point you have made is partly right., about educational purposes, but here it would be higher learning specially related to the 9th house. Rahu has to be appeased through worship of Bhairava, Rahu mantras, Pitragana (Dead Ancestors) and Devi Saraswatiji. Why Saraswatiji? Because though Rahu may ultimately lead a person towards renouncement, but the way it leads us through, is not normal or apparently advocated by the commonly known good folks.. Perplexity, bewilderment, confusions, Chokeness, suffocation, oppression, Force, ferocity, fury, violence, are its manifestations. Riot, rebellion are its public manifestations ( You know Rahu also represents the masses (common)as well as aliens ( Other Jaati)). To overpower, to assault, to invade, are its issues. Distraction, censorship, acquisition, are its attendants. To shoot up , to ascend high it aims at. It is a formidable one. ( In any house wherever Rahu is placed, the above attributes would remain in behaviour of native, to approach the fructifications, or meet the objectives of the house in question). Now either allow Rahu to lead our already contaminated minds as it wishes, then we are going to use the above adjectives in real action throughout the stay of Rahu, as the Dasha Lord, but if we have upon us the Grace of Saraswatiji, who is the Goddess of learning, then we will still be using the above approaches in our actions, but in a channelised manner . The aggression in native would still be there, violence would still maintain, Fury would be present still, assault would persist, but all this would be used on a proper subject and with cause, and not wantonly. The Goddess Saraswati would provide us the learning how to use the manifestation of Rahu in our Life, in a proper way and ultimately gain the nectar of Life, which actually Rahu is surely going to provide to a deserving candidate. The nectar may be in form of physical material gains to the native, or spiritual attainments. And to the one who uses the power of Rahu for destructive purposes. he is himself going to be destroyed eventually with his reckless Life and way and style of living which would be unbridled. Saraswatiji would provide the knowledge as power used by a Good Army General, like Sam Manekshaw vice versa would be wanton use like Musharraf. There is no change in worship procedure. The white silver elephant I was talking of represents one item for worship of Devi Saraswatiji. White chandan too is used for propitiation of Rahu. Again white is representing Mata Saraswatiji, if you know her attire colour. Lal Kitab too mentions worship of Saraswatiji for propitiation of Rahu. The worship of, Surya, Shiva, Lakshmi or Durga too would come in Rahu dasha but in intermittent pockets of its Dasha, that is either in antardashas if you are watching the MD or the pratyantar if you are watching the AD., but respectively for Sun, Moon and Venus antardashas. This is mentioned by Parashar Mahararaj in BPHS. Bur for general overall and regular propitiation one should worship Devi Saraswatiji and also do mantras of Rahu if possible. I am leaving this thread now, for want of time. regards, Bhaskar. , " Raja Gursahani " <rajagursahani wrote: > > one point at a time here: > > > > durga is the prescribed deity for worship during rahu mahadasha T/F? because > in the classics it does say this correct? > > > > you are giving saraswatiji because I believe that rahu can be a great > tragedy for educational goals and as a result you pray to saraswatiji > because you want to alleviate this aspect correct? please provide me some > source or understanding for this change in worship procedure? > > > > sincerely, > > > > __________ > > Raja G. Guest guest
Namastae Bhaskarji, Worship of Durga is for " Durgathi Nashana " (destruction of adversities) It can be resorted to when Moon is powerless in a chart .Rahu =serpents. In rural India , still one could see the worship of Rahu with secret but powerful Serpent Mantra's . Kethu is for Lord Ganesh . Godess Saraswathi =Mercury=planet of intellect.. Ma Saraswathi is worshipped when Mercury is afflicted .Sravana Nakshatra is ruled by Ma Saraswathi . Mercury also stands for Lord Vishnu & his incarnations . A combo of Mer-Jupiter indicates Medha Dakshina Moorthy This is my understanding based on my conversation with Swamiji's of various mutts and from sojourn to rural India Durga , " Bhaskar " <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: > > > To my knowledge No classic has prescribed Durga > worship for Rahu.
