My 2 cents, looking at these charts for less than 15min.. Current Dasha is Rahu-Venus. Rahu is with Ju and Mar in Cancer. Venus is in Taurus with Sun. May be he'll feel lucky to get to be the US Republican party nominee. But at the time of election, Rahu-Sun shows some weakness. He may not be able to close the deal on Nov 4, 2008. The chart itself shows a 10th lord placed in eighth house with improving placement in other charts. 7th lord with Mars and Rahu does show the break and/or multiple marriages. Rahu dasha from 1994 does show gains (NY City Mayor) and the break coinciding with Mer bhukti around Dec 2001. If the chart is correct (there are 2/3 other lagnas that were before the astrodatabank's new revision) it appears that he will falter starting June/July 2008. Looking at Romney's chart (May 12, 1947, Detroit MI, Libra lagna, not verified). It could be a tough fight during the primaries. Sani in third and Moon (third lord) with raju/ketu does show no siblings after him. Based on my analysis so far of the US presidential elections: McCain has no chance (I have written about this several months ago, may be year ago possibly). Obama, Richardson, HC are all running dasa / bhutki connected to 10th lord or 10th house. Jupiter's transit to Dhanu will favor Clinton. If we assume Rudy's kanya lagna chart.
