Just a quick hello!

 

 

 

Krishna, birth time is debated on MJ, however birth details include: August

29, 1958, Gary, Indiana. I use birth time of 23:43. - 23:45 is what was used

by most when we discussed MJ in February 2005. There are a number of posts

on him at that time in the archives.

 

 

 

This information on his health and disease of his lungs is interesting when

looking at the chart and current dasas and transits. Using KP ayanamsa gives

him dasas changing today to Ketu/Rahu/Rahu/Rahu. That puts his PD Moon

around 5:33 + Aries, 12H, this directly opposite his natal Jupiter in 6H at

5:23, with lord Venus natally in 3H. Moon owns 3H and currently TKetu is in

3rd. As I cast his chart today, Tchart gave Taurus rising as well, and TMoon

is in 6H in Swati, diseases of wind, and Marut - wind diety. Natal Ketu in

extreme gandanta and in nakshatra parivartana with gandanta RMercury.

It is good to hear from you after a long break. Thanks for your inputs on

Jackson's birth details. Meanwhile I checked the Astrodatabank site and you

are correct that there is a big debate on his correct birth time and it

appears that there is no consensus. Just one comment on what you have

written about Ketu being in gandantha. As far as my knowledge goes the nodes

don't become weak at sandhi's like other physical planets.

 

I have come across another site which gives the birth time as 10am PDT. If

we use this time, we see that the current dasha (using lahiri) would be

Mer-Rah-Ket. Rahu-Ketu is in 1-7 axis, Mercury is in the 12th house of

hospitalization and Mercury and Ketu have nakshatra parivartana. Mercury is

the natural 3L representing lungs. Karaka of Lungs Moon is in the 6th house

of diseases and occupies the nakshatra of Rahu who is the bhukti lord. The

third bhava in his chart is owned by Mars occupies a dusthana (8H). And, the

third house itself is occupied by 6L Saturn. And, Saturn is the nakshatra of

Mercury. It appears that all pieces of puzzle come together for the current

health situation using the 10am chart. Of course, I have not looked at other

events in his life to say that this is the correct time. It would be

interesting to probe further on this chart.

thoughts and opinions a joy on our list. No one knows the true time but it's

great to see your thoughts and logic as you have applied it.

 

 

 

I've not heard what you've written as far as the nodes and sandhi. As you

may know, my greatest interest is along the lines of health issues and I

have seen particularly gandanta making a difference. - Gandanta will often

times jump out of the chart where there is a particularly weak area and I

have seen that with the nodes as well. I do believe that any grahas involved

are strengthened by remedies such as chanting. My thoughts and experience

with this follows what Hart de Fouw and Robert Svoboda have written in Light

on Life regarding gandanta and sandhi, that these zones are often auspicious

for certain spiritual endeavors. My thoughts are perhaps this makes planets

located in these zones somehow more 'sensitive' to the chanting and other

appropriate remedies that include a spiritual involvement.

regarding his birth time, but again, who knows. It may be that the other

quotes I've seen are based on the same. I think different thoughts on his

Hi Krishna,

 

 

 

I'm a big fan of Andrew Lynn and the technique he shared with progressed

dasa (PD) Moon. Now checking where that Moon has progressed to using

Vimshottari by the 10:00 time, Mercury/Rahu/Ketu would place current PD Moon

at around 25+ degrees Pisces.

 

 

 

My thoughts are from a basic look at the different times given, I favor the

later times due to the placement of the PD Moon in gandanta and pretty right

on his natal Ketu at the time of his trial a few years ago, as well as his

life and problems over the past couple years. Also including what he is

suffering at this time which has been going on for some time and worsening

over the past few years. His PD Moon would now be in Aries, 12H and directly

across from his natal Jupiter. For such dramatic events, such as his trial

(which he dressed and acted outwardly much like 'Ketu'), and now this

serious health information on him, there are usually some strong hits on the

natal chart with the PD Moon.

 

 

 

Just my thoughts - and as said, I enjoy seeing and learning from other's

opinions and am educated by your thoughts and your logic given.

Dear Patrice,

 

Thanks for your views on Gandanta and nodes in particular. What I would like

to know is at what point you would say a planet is in gandanta - is it less

than 1 degree from the sandhi or some other value please do let me know.

Also, do you take the same value to determine if a planet is in other rasi

sandhi's or the value would be different there.

I will respond to the other posts later as I'm getting final things ready

for the holidays here. But I want to quickly respond to you about this. It's

a fabulous technique and I believe perhaps was always used in this way to

really clarify Vimshottari dasas and what they signify as to where the Moon

is located throughout the dasa system and therefore the zodiac, where the

Moon moves throughout our lives. This also reinforces the importance of the

Moon in a chart as clearly taught throughout the scriptures, and why these

planets are activated or operational at these times.

 

 

 

Krishna, I will use your chart for this. Another thing needed is a sub sub

table which gives the exact 360 placement around the zodiac. I don't know if

there is anything outlined in this way other than through my own experience

using the KP books, such as 'Medical Astrology for All'. And clearly our

list is a list dedicated to Vedic astrology as taught by the great sage

Maharishi Parashara. This list I have is the break down of the Vimshottari

dasas, ie: mahadasa, antardasa, pratyantardasa lords and the time running

for each and reflected in degrees, which then also gives us the current

nakshatra Moon has traveled to.

 

 

 

I have your data as Sept 7, 1958, 6:15, Bangalore, India. Your Moon is at

27:32 Taurus, which means you were born with Moon in Mrigashira, Vimshottari

dasa at birth is then Mars/Jupiter/Mars. As you are now in

 

Saturn/Moon/Jupiter, we can move forward to which nakshatra and at what

degree this places you in. Your Moon traveled out of Taurus, into and out of

Gemini, and is now in Cancer, in Pushya, Saturn's star. Using the chart,

Saturn/Moon begins at 11 degrees Cancer, and Saturn/Moon/Jupiter finishes at

11.28.20. Saturn/Moon/Jupiter started at 11.19.26. Your PD Moon therefore is

at 11 + degrees Cancer.

 

 

 

Yes, you can use this technique using any software. Just need the tables I

mentioned above to check on your own.

Thanks for the detailed note. My software does not give the kind of tables

that you have mentioned. I amy not be able to study this immediately. But I

will keep it mind to check it out later.
