Guest guest
Dear Ravindramani, //When Cancer rising, Moon becomes the Lagna Lord. Moon is in the constellation of Mercury. This could be a possible explanation why you have seen your husband acts outwardly first house Gemini/Me ruled person// I have given this statement some further thought and hope you can explain further. I understand the star Lord of Moon (in Scorpio) being Mercury. I also understand that Mercury placed in Gemini (in its own hse of exaltation) would carry Moon effects there as well as Cancer ruled Moon and Scorpio ruled Mars. However, I am still confused on how Mercury in a 12th hse would act like a lst hse when both of these houses are so different. Being that also there would be a 12/2 relationship from Cancer ruled Moon. Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Uttara, It is the one of the instructions of sages, if any human experience is to be delineated from a natal chart, the same is to be examined from Lagna proper and again from the position of Moon treating Moon as Lagna. Hence the position of Moon becomes the alternate Lagna. The Lagna is the first house. His nakshtra dispositor plays a vital role in governing the first house. The nakshtra dispositor of Moon is very important when considering the activities of a person. The lordship and the natural significations of that planet are to be taken into account carefully when considering the activities of a person. It is all the more necessary when Moon becomes the Lagna Lord. He controls the Lagna proper but also the Mind. Every activity of a person first emanates from his mind (the plan of action). All self-efforts, one put to shape his activities comes from the 3rd lord. Mercury owns two houses in the chart, one is 12th house and the second is 3rd house. 3rd lord governs self-efforts. Every outward activity requires some kind of self-efforts with using intelligence. Mercury governs intelligence. The Moon, the Lagna Lord proper is located in the fifth house of intelligence. Here, the Lagna becomes Vargottama. Moon becomes the Lagna Lord twice. Mercury becomes the 3rd lord twice. In the instant case, Mercury influences the navamsa Lagna from the seventh house too. These are the reasons why I considered your husband is a Mercury oriented person i.e the first house. Now Mrs. Wendy has suggested an alternate Lagna, i.e. Scorpio. Now rectifying the chart, with the help of the events you provided, putting three Lagnas under scanner (Gemini, Cancer and Scorpio) becomes a tedious job for an astrologer. Hence I kept quite on this thread. Regards, C.S. Ravindramani
Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Uttara, >>>However, please understand, I was not looking for members to rectify any or all charts. The intention I had was to see how if there was discrepancy of how to look at the chart from the issue of my husband's feet vs. his outward personality, to possibly define lst hse. I hope I said that right.>>> I agree. You never asked for rectification. I casually mentioned rectification is a tedious process :-) >>>I am glad you pointed this out to me Ravindramani, one never knows for sure in their quest for knowledge if they are over taxing others. :-)>>> You are not taxing me. Rather given me an opportunity to understand this science further. >>>I am printing up this latest effort and explanation of yours to lay next to my Husband's chart for a good study and learning experience.>>> Do not take my words or my way of examining, on this chart are final. They are my observations only. I hope and trust they are not away from the basic instructions of Sage Parashara. I see what I am destined to see in a chart and those charts only, not all the charts posted here. :-) Regards, C.S. Ravindramani.
