Guest guest
Wendy ji, ///Of course they're perfectly free to do so! Everyone plays out their own karma, whatever that may be. But on this group (if nowhere else) I would hope that the wisdom of Parasara would not be diminished by the contradictory ideas of over-zealous astrologers. ..found in abundance on the WWW./// Unfortunately, most people don't understand the basics, get predictions wrong, and then think that Parasara's system is wrong. At one level, getting anything wrong hurts the ego--and it is easier to blame Jyotish than to admit one's own faults! :-) This was bought home to me recently when I broke my hand. How could this happen to me when I was running the PD of the Lagna lord, I wondered... ....until I saw that Budha, karaka for hands, was transiting the 12th from the 3rd, which rules the hands. In my humble opinion, many of the " modern " systems that contradict Parasara have been put together by people who haven't put in enough effort to learn Parasara's systems. In Hindi there is a saying-- " nach na jane angan teda " (A person who doesn't know how to dance will blame the dance floor for not being level.) ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Dear Balaji Parasharas concepts and teachings transcend all ages and ages to come and time and again it has proved to do so for those who tread the path serioulsy those who want to be on a fast track try some patch works of a few concepts from various parts of the world, when we have the horses mouths words why look for its off shoots who also had come for paarashara but got diluted in transmission losses. the sheer adaptation to Desha, kala, paritthithi workds wonderfully and B V RAMAN the best exponend of BPHS has show its invinciblity all other works max add some color to already beautiful BANYAN TREE best wishes prashant On 11/23/08, Balaji Narasimhan <sherlockbalaji wrote: > > Wendy ji, > > ///Of course they're perfectly free to do so! Guest guest
Prashant ji, Yes, Shri BV Raman has done a lot in this regard. It is important for all astrologers to: a. Try to understand BPHS as far as our karmas allow b. Make an atttempt to ensure that the knowledge that we have assimlated from Parasara is current and relevent For example: Let's say somebody has 11th lord of gain in 7th house of spouse. Once upon a time - you could have said he would get money from dowry Now - It means person will get a wife who works and earns good money ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~
