Guest guest
Dear Su, Please pardon me for jumping in and asking an unrelated question. Does this person suffer from Type-2 diabetes? Is the amputation connected to diabetes problem? As far as your question goes, I don't have an answer and I look forward to comments from Mrs. Wendy. Guest guest
Dear Su, Just a quick look in the right direction (hopefully) for now. Note both exalted 12th lord Venus and debilitated 11th lord Mercury are Rx combust. As we know, 11th (trishadaya) lord signifies difficulties and disease. Note also that Mercury owns 12th (loss) from 12th (feet etc..) More to see hopefully with a fresh mind tomorrow :-) PS: I have another chart of a native who suffered badly with his feet. In later years he could hardly shuffle around at all. I don't know if he ultimately faced amputation as we lost touch some years before his death...here is his chart. Guest guest
Dear Su, If you're referring to Pundit Navaratnam's chart (my first mentor BTW) he has Scorpio rising 23:46:58 with VE/ME in 5th. Punditji was also diabetic... Guest guest
Dear Su, Thanks for the confirmation. I spotted the diabetes combination, that I coined, in this chart and hence was my question. Guest guest
Dear Su and All, In regards to amputation and/or difficulties with legs/feet. It's apparent that affliction to 12th, it's lord and/or karaka (Saturn) will be the indicators to watch for. I'm sure, or at least hope, that Uttara won't mind me comparing her chart with my sister (Marlene). Both have the malefic Ketu in 12th. However, for Uttara, both lagna lord Mercury and 9th lord Venus have joined Ketu in this house. For Marlene, Ketu stands alone whilst 11th lord (12th from 12th) aspects 12th from 6th house. Note 11th lord conjunct Rahu whilst nakshatra lord Mercury owns/occupies 8th house. In the other two charts (punditji and amputee), both have 12th/11th lords conjunct in 6th from 12th. I'm fairly certain that punditji wasn't an amputee, even though he suffered dreadfully with his legs/feet. I welcome members to examine these charts and see if they can identify the factor/s that led to amputation in one case and not the other... Guest guest
To Wendy and All, No I don't mind the comparison between Marlene's chart Ketu and mine. In fact I appreciative the lesson of how Ketu in 12th can effect each natal chart differently. In the matter of suicidal thoughts or suicide, this comparison brings to light how Ketu can be challenging and also suffering but not necessarily a fata com plea to suicide. A very good comparison if I say so myself. Thanks Wendy!
