Numerology & Pascal's Triangle

While discussing the number 9 as being highly significant in

numerology, our group member Mandar B. introduced " Pascal's Triangle "

- I have only just now had the opportunity to examine this triangle. I

encourage everyone interested to look it up in Wikipedia for

background information.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_triangle

There will you will find that Halayudha is the oldest known source of

this triangle, in his commentary on Chandas Shastra by Pingala.

Halayudha describes the triangle as the staircase to Mount Meru - a

Vedic Astronomical entity.

Mandar inquired specifically about the number 9 in relation to this

triangle.

In examining the trinagle I find three numbers conspicuous by their

absence: 3, 6, and 9. Amazing, no? They are completely absent from the

triangle!

What you do find is that the triangle sets up a binary pattern, the

first tier sums to 1, the second to 2, the third to 4, the fourth to 8

and the 5th to 16, and so on.. 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, etc.

If you further sum the digits of these binary numbers you will find

the pattern, 1,2,4,5,7,5 repeating over and over as you step down the

rows.

All the divine numbers are absent from this pattern, I therefore

propose that this triangle describes material nature, the kshetra, the

field of action.
