There are more problems.

 

1. Lagna lord Guru in MKS. This will hurt the lagna and 4th

house. Note that Moon is in Lagna and Sun is in the 4th house.

Both are affected.

 

2. Rahu in MKS, aspecting Guru and Moon.

 

3. The native is currently undergoing Moon MD. Moon is severly

afflicted and hence the problem.

 

4. One good news is that Moon is vargottama. Hence, the child

will eventually recover. Rahu is also vargottama and aspects

Moon from Navamsa also.

 

5. Budha is in a curse and disposited by weak Guru.

 

It is important to strengthen lagna lord Jupiter. As it can help

lot of areas.

The malefics involved own Aquarius which is the Paka Lagna, harming the intelligence. Dear Kaartik, Ramesh, and all, I've gotten an impression that Moon/rahu conj. brings disorders, while Moon /Ketu conj, I suspect includes drug addiction. Good example is an extraordinary man we all know: Ted Turner- he suffers from bi-polar, manic-depression; his Moon is conj Rahu in 12th H, double Scorpio! /You can Google his name and get TOB/ Das Goravani, vedic astrology software programmer, as well. The forth bhava/lord is the culprint for the mind/conciousness while

the Lagna and fifth for the inteligence & viveka. Any affliction to

Jupiter shows bad judgment and can show schizoprenia or autism.

Hello everyone, One more point on this: I've noticed that difficult aspects exist ALWAYS in developed psy.disorder. However, their presence in the chart, doesn't mean that disorder will manifest. One chart comes to my mind with Moon/ Rahu in Taurus lagna- the person functions very fine and has never suffered from any permanent disorder/we all suffer from life crisis, vulnerability, etc..in some periods of life, of course/ Sun's affliction seems to be necessary in developing higher amplitude of disorder /in addition to factors mentioned in earlier posts/. Good Sun's placement seems to protect mental health. Sanjay's word on this would be highly appreciated. Sat-Mars as yoga for 'madness'. Other factors like affliction of Jupiter

and Moon contribute too. Rafal's reference to Jupiter may have come

from a schizophrenia case used by Sanjayji in his articles. There Jupiter

is badhkesh in 5H deb and retro, aspected by Mars and Sun plus the

chart has pisacha dosha, sarpa yoga and Moon aspected by Saturn. I would

assume that for extreme result comes from multiple afflictions.

Dear Ramesh,

 

Yes we can see each of this point in detals. Lagna and Seventh shows our

inteligence and discrimination so every malefic in this bhava's can give

serious diseases regarding our mentality. Fifth bhava shows our viveka,

and Prasna Marga here help us - eight bhava related to fifth bhava can

give also some disorders. Now the Lagnesh is very important and some

aspect of Rahu / Sani will give problems as they are enemies of Jupiter

- Sani make us forget and be dull while Rahu can give moha & illusions

(also doubts). Now Jupiter is the karaka and in one lecture Sanjayji

shows how we judge various matters depending on Drsti on Lagna and

Drsti/Yuti of Guru. So every Yoga has its own characteristics, intensity

and place. Now, to differiantiate serious cases - we must see serious

yoga's like Rameshji correctly wrote - curse in dushtana, badhak in

curse, vargotam, all these must be badly placed from Jupiter and Lagnesh

must be afflicted. When all this happens then see the third from AL if

associated with Mo and Ju as this can cause suicide tendencies and

especially when 4H/4L is afflicted (wavering mind).

Dear Ramesh, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. And for Sanjay's lectures on badhakesh. 'Yoga for madness' is really good expression, which, teamed up with other factors/Moon, badhakesh, etc/ seems to be present in SCH. I'd rather avoid generalization re Ju, except in extreme cases /Ju badakesh, retro deb/ like in Sanjay's example. Rafal says 'Sanjay Unzipped knowledge' and I really like that phrase. And again, I wish if Sanjay would UNZIP this issue for us, PLS! Yes we can see each of this point in detals. Lagna and Seventh shows

our inteligence and discrimination so every malefic in this bhava's can

give serious diseases regarding our mentality. Fifth bhava shows our

viveka, and Prasna Marga here help us - eight bhava related to fifth

bhava can give also some disorders. Now the Lagnesh is very important

and some aspect of Rahu / Sani will give problems as they are enemies

of Jupiter - Sani make us forget and be dull while Rahu can give moha

while Moon /Ketu conj, I suspect includes drug addiction.

Good example is an extraordinary man we all know: Ted

Turner- he suffers from bi-polar, manic-depression; his Moon is conj

Dear Michal,

 

Lagna is a border case between Libra and Scorpio. Looking at the

history of crime and arrest dates, I strongly feel that Scorpio

Lagna is the most appropriate.

 

Sun, Moon and Lagna lord Mars are all afflicted by nodes. In

addition, both lagna and Lagna lord Mars are in papakartari.

Though Budha is a vargottama, it is severly afflicted both in

Rasi and in Navamsa. All these clearly indicate mental disorder.

 

A very interesting point is that though exalted Venus and

exalted Jupiter are in trines to lagna, they could not help the

native overcome the afflictions of the nodes.

 

He committed the crime and was arrested on: Dec. 08, 1980. The

period is Sun-Mercury. Sun is in the 6th house and Mercury is

with the 6th lord Mars - perfect.

 

I feel that if at all he lives longer, he would be releaesd from

prison in Jupiter MD, 2017 or after.

Yes we can see each of this point in detals. Lagna and Seventh shows

our inteligence and discrimination so every malefic in this bhava's can

give serious diseases regarding our mentality. Fifth bhava shows our

Sat-Mars as yoga for 'madness'. Other factors like affliction of

Jupiter

and Moon contribute too. Rafal's reference to Jupiter  may have come

from a schizophrenia case used by Sanjayji in his articles. There

Jupiter

is badhkesh in 5H deb and retro, aspected by Mars and Sun  plus the

would

while Moon /Ketu conj, I suspect includes drug addiction.

Good example is an extraordinary man we all know: Ted

Turner- he suffers from bi-polar, manic-depression; his Moon is conj

I've gotten an impression that Moon/rahu conj. brings

disorders,

while Moon /Ketu conj, I suspect includes drug addiction.

Good example is an extraordinary man we all know: Ted

Turner- he suffers from bi-polar, manic-depression; his Moon is conj

Rahu

in 12th H, double Scorpio! /You can Google his name and get TOB/

Mars/Saturn contact is really very difficult /in fact

I've used to consider it the most difficult aspect/ denotes lots of

suffering-

I've seen that many times.

Dear Michal,

 

My support for Scorpio Lagna comes from the date of arrest as

well as the period spent in prison so far.

 

This is based on a Yoga called " Bandhana Yoga " covered in B V

Raman's Three Hundred Important Combinations.

 

The definition of the Yoga is as follows:

 

If the lord of the langa and the lord of the 6th join a kendra

or trikona with Saturn or Rahur or Ketu.

 

If you assme Scorpio lagna, the above definition is fulfilled.

 

Lagna lord and the 6th lord is Mars who is in a kendra in the

7th and within 7 degrees from Ketu (I would consider this as a

conjunction with Ketu).

 

Now, look for the planets associated with the sixth lord Mars:

 

- Sun is disposited by Mars

- Mercury is associated with Mars

- Moon and Rahu are aspected by Mars

 

This person was arrested during Sun-Mercury period. He spent

time in prison during the rest of Sun MD, whole of Moon and Mars

MDs and currently Rahu MD as well. I suspect that he will not

come out until Rahu dasha is over. Note that all these MD lords

are the ones influenced by the 6th lord Mars.

 

Do you have any other justification for this person being in

prison for such a long time and during these specific MDs?

 

My logic is based on simple plain facts and dates about the

arrest without having to guess as to what he was thinking or

what his motivation was to commit the crime.

 

You might be correct about your arguments on Shakti Yoga and

what it indicates. I am not good enough in that area to comment

on what you have said.

 

I have just given the reasons why I think Scorpio Lagna makes

sense to me as reasons for any human being to be kept in

confinement against his/her will for long years has to be taken

very seriously in reading one's life events from the chart. I

would be glad if you could come up other logic for this using

Libra lagna.

If you can show me any material, of either B.V. Raman or any other premier Jyotishi, that treats this as conjunction - with reference - then we can go from there.There must be many different types of yoga for bandhana. Another is when equal amount of planets occupy adjacent houses to Lagna, Arudha Lagna, or Atmakaraka. This forms quite strongly from Atmakaraka in this chart and thus is present dispite the Lagna.To come to a conclusion about a certain chart we

must look for multiple factors because our knowledge is limited. If we rely on any one particular yoga to make judgements then we can often be wrong as there are many riders and provisos, or other stronger factors we may not have knowledge of. The more factors we look at in a chart, the better our chances are. For example, he was married, he had a job, he had certain relationships with his parents etc. We have to examine these aspects and see if they line up, otherwise we are in danger of being over-confident about one particular aspect.I have given you my reasoning from the point of view of Narayana Dasa (Narayana Dasa shows the external reality rather than a subjective point of view). For Libra Lagna, Sun is a dire malefic and in this case Badhakesh exalted in maraka house. Do you think this dasa will be good? It forms papakartari yoga (and bandhana yoga as explained earlier) on the Atmakaraka with Ketu.

Look at their conjunction in the Navamsa!Shodasottari dasa is applicable - Moon dasa Saun antardasa. Look at Saturn, Rahu and Mars aspecting Moon forming a terrible curse.Moola dasa calculated from lagna - Mars dasa Mercury antardasa. Both these planets are in the 8th house of suffering. Dear Michal,

 

I agree with you that we need study more life events to

conclusively reach the correct lagna. I am focussing on his

period in confinement (though it is not trivial as he spent 26

years in this mode) and you are focussing on the day of the

event.

 

Your objection about conjunction is valid as going strictly by

definition it can not be called conjunction. However, I do

believe that such a close proximity do influence planets though

they are in different Rasis. I don't believe that there are

walls at the Rasi boundaries in the sky and the influence

becomes 0 from 1 just after crossing the Rasi boundary. I don't

think it is a plain YES or NO situation when planets are very

close to each other. Of course this is a controversial stand and

I understand that.

 

You have mentioned about other yogas for bandhana. I couldn't

understand it fully. Is it possible to explain using this yoga

and any dasha of your choice, the 26 year imprisonment? That

would be very interesting.

 

And, as you have rightly said, we need to look at other life

events as well.

This is based on argala. So equal number of planets in 2nd/12th, 3rd/11th, 4th/10th, 5th/9th, 6th/8th will cause this.For example in this case: Look at Atmakaraka Mars, on the one sign you have Sun and the other Ketu. So the Argala of Ketu onto Mars is blocked by Sun. This creates a kind of stalemate where the person gets trapped with no way out. Again, the 11th house from Mars has Venus giving argala to it, which is again blocked by Jupiter in the 3rd from Mars. I hope

this is clear. Like I said you can look for these combinations from Lagna, Arudha, or Atmakaraka.Now timing - The event occured in the Narayana Dasa of Pisces. Since then he has been imprisoned for all the subsequent dasas of Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. See how all these signs are involved in the bandhana yoga? Dear Michal,

 

Thanks for educating me with this new (for me) yoga. It fits

very well with the chart that we are discussing. I tried to look

for the applicability of this yoga with another chart - Nelson

Mandela and failed. Please note that Mr. Mandela spent 25+ years

in prison. I tried with all three lagna,AL,AK and even paka

lagna, but could not find a fit. I don't know what is the

reason.

This one we are talking about is just an easy one to spot, a trademark of Jaimini.In the chart of Nelson Mandela the yoga is formed from the ninth house by Jupiter in Gemini (badhaksthana) and Moon in Libra. Ninth house represents freedom. To confirm this, look at the timing. Narayana Dasa running on 5th August 1962 when he was arrested was Aries mahadasa Capricorn antar. Aries is giving the results of Libra, and the results of the bandhana yoga have to take effect, so it is bang on. Antar is aspected by Rahu from Scorpio (Kalasarpa yoga is there also), which is a
