Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar!!!!!! Coincidentally, yesterday I also picked up the 2nd Canto of Srimad Bhagavatam to look into the Virat Rupa, and found some very interesting things linked to Astrology and Astronomy!!! Yes, Raj Parikshit... and also 10th Canto, Sri Krishna, Sri Rama... throughout the stories you see the jyotishi is right there in the initial birth celebration reading the chart to the parents. In fact, before I started to learn Jyotish my conception of it was that NORMALLY the horoscope is cast and read directly at birth. From my limited knowledge I would say that CARE must be taken, as I noted previously, but not that it is taboo. I would certainly like to hear sastric references to any indications for or against this. On my part I site practically the entire Puranic body in favor of normally reading a child's horoscope. I also site BPHS (chapter on Marakas) as an indication in favor of reading charts for newborns, but doing so with extra caution. Thank you, Vic On Jun 10, 2008, at 10:57 AM, Bhaskar wrote: > Dear Vic, > > I have learnt and am still learning Jyotish from > many Gurus.
