Call it a transposition error!! The statements Sanivada rahu, kujavata ketu (Rahu is like Shani and Ketu is like mars), I reckon springs from the dual rulership consideration described for kumbha (aquarius) and vrishchika (Scorpio) in the chara dasha context as stated in BrihatParashara Hora Shastra and also in Upadesha Sutram by Jaimini. Very clear rules are consistently given in both as to when to consider nodes the rulers and when the other two traditional planets. Guest guest
Dear Wendyji and Rohiniji, Thank you for the explanation.I look forward to learning more from you both.Infact I have misinterpreted the term 'vada' or 'vad' as Vadh which means to kill. So I was confused thinking, if kuja kills ketu how could it get exalted there.Thank you again for clearing my doubts. Regards, Manasa. Guest guest
Dear Manasaa, Your gentle words are much appreciated. Please understand though that I am just an ordinary person and participant here, with no ambitions or aspirations to become a teacher etc. If what I write, express and whatever touches anyone is not my doing or efforts but just my great fortune! That should not be too difficult to perceive and understand... Have you noticed, how after a wonderful concert, the musicians, the conductor, the composers get the qudos and ovations -- but never the instruments! That is my position and understanding of where I stand ...
