Guest guest
Manasa, A update in Manasa Devi we have exchanged diff references to manasa devi it has to be combined to get the better picture Manasa devi is a Snake form of Shakti [u said] and nw it one of Lalitha devi's names. Masasa is a [snake] deity to protect infants [esp Balaarishta ones] she protects all children and to ensure a healthy infancy worshipping her on the tithi of the child's birth will be blessed with healtheir growth it is said. I know many Manasas and one is a favourite niece has this name too My prediction on her birth before my sister had her pregnancy confirmed is one example I may quote sometime when I have to justify my usage or ramans ayanamsa sometime I had predicted to my sister that she will have baby girl on 9 or 10th Aug in Arudra star and Mithuna lagna and it did happen on 10/8/96, 3.37 am , chennai best wishes Prashant kumar
Guest guest
Dear Manasa, I think less of snakes and shaktis and more of this: At Govardhan hill in Vraja there is a kunda named " Manasa Ganga " - It is there because Nanda and Yasoda and all the Brajbasis wanted to go bathe in the Ganga. But due to their spiritual nature they literally were unable to leave the boundaries of Vraja-mandala. Krishna saw their distress, and took them all to a spot near Govardhan hill. He than sat down to meditate, saying he would bring Ganga to Braja-dham. From his mind (manasa) the waters of the ganga appeared there in a kunda - where they remain to this day. Guest guest
Dear Vic, Please do forget the snake part. I believe, I annoyed many people with that post. In my opinion, the characters in the puranic stories are less important than the theme it carries :-).
Guest guest
Hi Manasa, i don't see it the way u say now, but this has opened a venue to see things broadly and this itself brings in positiveness. a positive mind can make a lot of difference to our lives and above all each one is benefited thru the numerous spiritual and scriptural reference points as well isn't it. no offense meant from anyone here all are giveing their awareness of different forms of a entity Best wishes Prashant kumar On Thu, Jun 19, 2008 at 6:16 PM, m2sangeeth <m2sangeeth wrote: > Dear Vic, > > Please do forget the snake part.
