PICTURE: Strange and exotic fossilized pearls from various animals and

plants. None of these pieces could be disproved by GIA Labs in New

York, nor could they be identified. These are listed in Sri Garuda

Purana, Chap 69, where it is mentioned, " Besides oyster pearls there

are seven other types found in conch shells, wild boars' heads,

elephant heads, king cobra's heads, bamboo stems, clouds, and fish

heads. " In all there are NAVA MOTI or 9 types, including those from

tree trunks (vrisha moti).
