Dear Chandramohan,

Rahu and Ketu are the most difficult planets to clearly understand

because they have very little intrinsic nature and depend very heavily

upon the ruler of their nakshatra and house for the exact type of

nature they express.

You must never believe anything all the time.

Nothing ALWAYS works.

In other words if someone tells you " this planet means that " you

cannot expect that it will ALWAYS be true. If it is a very wise

statement than it will OFTEN be true. That is the best you can hope

for. Poor astrologers attempt to reconcile a maze of applicable

dictums and yogas in a chart. Be an excellent astrologer by trying to

REASON the meaning of the chart based on grasping the fundamentals at

work.

> but some Politicians have succeeded well with Rahu i*n 10th...*

Rahu exalts and then throws down. This is almost always true (there

i've contradicted myself! =) )

If Rahu is in a good nakshatra and house he can bring tremendous

amplification of those significations. Nonetheless what he gives is

often lost. Notice that politicians rise and fall.

> and abt Rahu in 4rth leads to loss of Mother early?

It depends on the nakshatra and house ruler of rahu. What you can say

for certain is that the mother will not be ordinary. She will be

unusual. How will she be unusual? This you must understand by grasping

the fundamentals of the nakshatra, house, sign and aspects affecting

Rahu.

> Ketu in 10th indicates = " Research Oriented Career " ?

Ketu bestows intellect because he is inward focused. Ones inner self

becomes powerful and sharp due to ketu.

> Venus " caught " in Rahu-Ketu Axis ..shows " unconventional marriage "

Rahu and Ketu are always unconventional. That alone is safe to say.

> .. and Moon similarly shows chances of some mental problems?

Moon under influence of Ketu and rahu will become wild. The moon

fluctuates by nature. Rahu is a chaotic amplifier and destroyer. See

how the fluctuation is thus multiplied?

This is not intrinsically good or bad, nor does it apply to anything

in specific - unless and until you apply a through understanding of

the fundamentals affecting rahu and the moon.
