Exaltation and debilitation

Dear Mrs. Wendy,

 

I have this doubt regarding exaltation and debilitation.

 

1) when we consider Ex./Deb. planets, what is more important is it the

degree or rashi? For eg, if a planet is in a degree not within the

range of exaltation in its exaltation rashi, do you consider it as

exalted.

 

2) I have noticed that the house of Ex. and debilitation are 7 houses

apart. So Ex. planets has 7th aspect on its debilitation house.My

question is whether the good attributes of the exalted planet suffer

pertaining to the house of deb. or if the deb planet aspects its

exaltation house, does it have a positive influence on atleast that house.
